Cardiologists have been kept in the dark regarding the vitamin C connection to heart disease. Most cardiovascular drugs are compensating for low vitamin C intake. There are cardiovascular drugs that exacerbate heart conditions. In my opinion, the doctor would be well advised to replace as many standard heart medications as possible with the following vitamin C and lysine protocol.
NOTE: Linus Pauling specifically recommended high, generally equal oral doses of vitamin C and the amino acid lysine between 5,000 and 6,000 mg in his Unified Theory lecture (available on video). Anything less, by definition, is not the Linus Pauling Therapy.
The extended protocol includes advice given by Linus Pauling in his 1986 book, How To Live Longer and Feel Better. Linus Pauling's Recommendations for Controlling Heart Disease:

1. Take 6,000 to 18,000 mg of vitamin C as ascorbic acid daily (some of the vitamin may be taken as sodium ascorbate) up to bowel tolerance (6 to 18 g).
Pauling’s therapeutic dosage of vitamin C for those diagnosed with cardiovascular disease is from 6,000 mg up to 18,000 mg (or bowel tolerance). Generally, 3,000 to 6,000 mg of vitamin C is the recommended preventive dosage.
The half-life of vitamin C in the bloodstream is 30 minutes. Linus Pauling advised taking vitamin C throughout the day in divided doses. The Hickey/Roberts Dynamic Flow theory predicts that taking vitamin C every four hours will produce the highest sustained blood concentrations. Take more before bedtime.
Those who have bloating, gas, or diarrhea after taking vitamin C should reduce the dosage of ordinary vitamin C and consider adding a liposomal form of vitamin C such as the Lypo-SphericTM vitamin C product available from livonlabs.com
2. Take 2,000 to 6,000mg (2 to 6g) of lysine daily.

For those diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, Linus Pauling recommended taking 5,000 to 6,000 mg of lysine daily. He recommended supplementing with at least 2,000 mg daily for prevention.


Joel Wallach says, "We fed our calves vitamins and minerals in pellet form mixed in with the feed. Veterinarians prevent and cure animal diseases through nutrition since they have no Blue Cross or health insurance or Medicare. I did autopsies of animals that died of natural causes in the zoo. They all died of a nutritional deficiency. I did many autopsies of animals and humans -- 17,500 autopsies of 454 different animal species and 3000 human autopsies. If we used the human medical system on animals, then hamburger would be $275.00 per pound. If we used the animal health care system on humans, you would pay $10.00 per month for a family of five."

There are myths about longevity: Regarding vegetarians versus meat-eaters. In a 1947 article on lab rats, those fet a vegetarian diet lived 555 days while those fed meat, fish and eggs lived 1020 days. Plants can't manufacture minerals. In another study, what did 415 centenarians have in common? 100% were red-meat eaters, 85% worked after 100 and 75% took a nip of whiskey (NY Times, June 22, "As Centenarians Thrive, 'Old' is Redefined"). Regarding exercise versus inactivity, the truth is that athletes sweat out the 60 essential minerals. One study found that athletes live to be 62 to 68 years old while couch potatos lived to be 75.5. Regarding salt or no salt, "Doctors lack Proof That Too Much Salt Is Unhealthful" (1997, USA Today, July 15 Tuesday). Animals crave salt blocks. Salt does not cause hypertension or high blood pressure. Cholesterol or no cholesterol. Cholesterol is a fraud. Lower cholesterol causes disease. Margarine is the worst type of fat for the heart. "Two Eggs A Day Won't Hurt, Study Shows." "Normal Plasma Cholesterol in Man Who Eats 25 Eggs A Day."

The genetic potential of humans is 120 to 140 years old. Tibetans in W. China lived till about age 256 -- fairly famous for longevity. See the book by James Hilton called "Lost Horizon" 1934. Also the movie version came out in 1937 called "Lost Horizon" and then in 1967 the movie "Shangri-La." In E. Pakistan are the Hunzas who eat rock salt and butter in their diets. But doctors tell us to use margarine and avoid salt. Doctors die at age 58 on average. The Hunzas live to be 120. In the 1970s the Russian Georgians lived to be in their 120s. According to the January 1973 National Geographic the Azerbaijanis and Armenians lived to be in their 120s. The Bilka Bomba indians in the Andes of Equador, by Lake Titicaca and also in Machu Pichu in SE Peru lived very long lives. Tibetans, Hunzas, Russian Georgians, Titicacans, Bilcabamba Indians, etc. What do these societies have in common? They live in high mountain villages (about 8,500 to 14,000 foot elevation. No rain or snow or dew. Dry places. Get all their water from "glacial milk" which is ground up parent rock mixed with water to look like milk. Their water comes from glaciers. (yellow-white or white-blue). They irrigate with it so it becomes part of the plants. (What if an average gardener were to add all 60 metallic minerals to his soil and then grow plants in that soil that suck up these minerals?) "They have no diabetes. They have no heart disease. No high blood pressure. No arthritis. No Osteoporosis. No Cancer, no cataracts, no glaucoma. They have no birth defects, no jails full of drug addicts. No taxes. No doctors. Yet they live to be 120-140 without disease."

Medical doctors said "You need only 60 mg. of Vitamin C per day. Take too much and you get kidney stones, acidosis or worse." But Linus Pauling came along and said "Oh no. We need 10,000 mg. a day for optimum health and longevity." MDs said he was crazy. Up until the last year or two of his life he worked 14 hours a day, seven days a week, teaching at the University of California and working his ranch at the Big Sur from horseback. On May 8th, 1992, UCLA released a 10-year study of 11,000 people showing megadoses of 500 mg./day of vitamin C resulted in an average of 7 more years of life. Linus Pauling also said, "You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency."

Soil depletion, poor crop rotation, deforestation, acid rain and loss of valuable topsoil due to flooding and over-irrigation has eliminated much of the natural trace mineral content of our farming soil. If farmers were to keep the seventh-year land sabbath (Lev.25:1-7), they would increase the nitrogen levels of the soil and thus increase the yield in tons and bushels. But they would not appreciably increase the mineral content of the food grown on the fields (Rare Earths, p.41). Plants can't manufacture minerals. By SUPPLEMENTATION we can get these minerals. But METALLIC MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS are only 8 to 12% absorbable into the human body. CHELATED MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS (metallic minerals with amino acids wrapped around them) are only 40% absorbable. Only organic, plant-source COLLOIDAL MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS, as they naturally occur in nature, are 98% absorbed by our bodies. They only come in liquid form. Plants convert toxic metallic minerals (arsenic, lead, aluminum, mercury, etc.) into non-toxic colloidal minerals. An ancient deposit of humic shale contains plant life that grew in rich, mineral-balanced virgin soil. When spring water is added, the colloidal minerals leach out of the shale and become suspended.

In 1936, U.S, Senate document 264 lamented our food's lack of mineral nutrition due to soil depletion. It's worse now. Crops take minerals out of the soil. The soil is "played out" or "leached." When valleys flooded, they would get new topsoil. But most land is not valleys. So chances are, if you're not supplementing your diet with all 60 known essential minerals, you're one of the 99% of all Americans deficient in nutritional minerals. This excerpt from the U.S. Senate document number 264 (1936) further explains the importance of mineral supplementation: "It is not commonly realized that vitamins control the body's appropriation of minerals, and in the absence of minerals they have no function to perform. 99% of the AMERICAN PEOPLE are DEFICIENT in MINERALS, and a marked DEFICIENCY in any ONE of the more important minerals actually results in DISEASE.... Our physical well-being is more directly dependent upon the minerals we take into our systems than upon calories or vitamins, or upon the precise proportions of starch, protein or carbohydrates we consume.... The alarming fact is that the foods -- fruits, vegetables and grain, now being raised on millions of acres of land that no longer contains enough of certain needed minerals, are starving us -- no matter how much of them we eat." You get a DEFICIENCY DISEASE if you don't have 90 nutrients per day: 60 minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 essential amino acids and 3 fatty acids. Most Americans lack these 90 nutrients.

For instance, aneurysms (dilated blood vessels) are caused by lack of COPPER. Cardio-myopathy (disease of the heart), muscular dystrophy, cancer, cirrhhosis of the liver, cataracts and cystic fibrosis come from a SELENIUM deficiency. CHROMIUM and VANADIUM deficiency leads to Diabetes. High blood pressure, arthritis, kidney stones, bone spurs, PMS, rickets and receding gums are caused by lack of CALCIUM. Alzheimer's Disease is cured by taking VITAMIN E. Ulcers can be cured by taking the trace mineral BISMUTH and tetracycline. BORON and CALCIUM prevent Osteoporosis.

Milk cows chew on wood or rock to give them minerals. (Plants can't manufacture minerals) On May 11, 1994 Margaret Skeet of Radford Connecticut fell and died of osteoporosis 3 weeks after the fall. She died of a Calcium deficiency. Humans who have a craving for sweets or chocolate may be deficient in chromium and vanadium. This is called Pica or Cribbing in horses who eat feed.

The average American lifespan is 75.5 years of age. The average lifespan of an M.D. is 58 years of age. If you want to live to be 120 years old just do two things. 1.) Avoid accidents and pitfalls. Don't get in a car wreck. Don't smoke. Don't become a drunk. Avoid doctors. "300,000 Americans are killed each year in hospitals alone as a result of medical negligence" (Ralph Nader Jan. 13, 1993) (wrong prescription; wrong dosage; decimal in wrong place). To get a perspective, we lost 56,000 over a ten year period in Viet Nam. Doctors use chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and drugs to treat disease. 2.) Treat yourself and prevent disease. You get a deficiency disease if you don't have 90 nutrients per day (60 minerals; 15 vitamins; 12 essential amino acids; 3 fatty acids). Victor Herbert, an M.D. said, "Popping vitamins doesn't do you any good. We get all the vitamins we need in our diets. It's just expensive urine." (Time April 6, 1992 "The Real Power of Vitamins").

Ford sent a recall notice: "Rear end gas tank in Pinto for rear end collision at 20 m.p.h. is faulty." But which hospital has sent a recall notice to its patients and told its patients: "Ulcers are caused by bacteria (helical bacter pylori) can be cured by trace mineral Bismuth and Tetracycline"? We have heard instead that "ulcers are caused by stress." All an ulcer-patient needs is Pepto-Bismol and aureomycin capscour pellets. The National Institute of Health, February 1994, said, "Ulcers are caused by bacteria and can be cured by Bismuth and Tetracycline. Which hospital has told its patients: "Cancer can be cured with 10,000 milligrams of Vitamin C daily" -- Linus Pauling (who lived to be 94 years old). September 1993, National Cancer Institute said, "A national cancer diet was found." It consisted of doubling the RDA of vitamin E along with Beta Carotene and Selenium. This clinical study caused a 9% reduction in deaths from all causes; 13% reduction in deaths from all cancers and 21% lived of esophageal cancer and stomach cancer. "Which hospital has sent out this recall notice: "Chicken protein halts Arthritis" (Sept. 24, 1993 article)? Arthritis patients who ground up dried chicken cartilege and ate it, got better. In 10 days all pain and inflammation was gone. In 30 days they could open a pickle jar and in 90 days they were back to normal. In other words, eat the ends off of chicken bones to halt and cure arthritis. Or buy Knox Gelatin (made from beef cartilege and tendons). Are you practicing medicine without a license by going to Kentucky Fried Chicken?

What about this recall notice: "Vitamin E Eases Memory Loss in Alzheimer's Patients"? (Univ. of California San Diego, July 1992). Fifty years ago, one out of two who reached 70 years old had Alzheimer's Disease. Much higher now. High doses of vitamin E and low doses of vegetable oils are the answer. We are told that kidney stones are caused by too much dairy calcium. But the truth is that kidney stones don't come from the calcium you eat but from your bones when you have a calcium deficiency. Water-belly in animals comes from a lack of calcium also. More calcium, magnesium and boron in the diet will cure kidney stones. A rich calcium diet means no kidney stones (Harvard Medical School).

In one study at a Turkey Farm, half of the turkeys died. Autopsies revealed they died of ruptured anurysms (ballooning arteries) which is a copper deficiency. The veterinarian doubled their intake of copper and no turkeys died the next year. Lack of copper causes many diseases: Grey hair, skin wrinkles, varicose veins, body sagging.

Selenium deficiency causes cardio-myopathy and white muscle disease and stiff lamb disease. Silitox or Bozie pellets give an animal selenium. Liver spots or age spots on hands or face are caused by a selenium deficiency. You'll reverse it in 4-6 months of taking selenium.

We call it "price gouging" when there is an L.A. earthquake and a man sells water for $4.00/ gallon in 1993 and put in jail for 60 to 90 days. But when a patient needs a heart transplant he is charged $750,000. Reader's Digest, Sept. 1993, published an article called "Can You Trust Your Doctor?" in which it explained that "cat-scan" kickbacks are a common practice which would be illegal in any other business. Doctors used to just tap a patient's sinus to see if his headache was a sinus headache and if he had blood running out of his nose, I'd take an X-ray to see if cancer was inside his nose.

Cribbing is when a horse chews on a feed bump or milk cows chew on barbed wire or shingles. The cow has nutrients taken away in milk so chews on rocks, etc. instead to get them back. Children eat lead paint and kitty litter or eat dirt. Pica disease is when pregnant women crave minerals (pickles and ice cream) since the baby is pulling nutrtients. Its all the same story. In veterinary medicine, we prevent birth defects with preconception nutrition. We can prevent 98% of all birth defects -- including ones which medical doctors think are genetic -- by giving the female high-tech vitamins and minerals every day for 90 days BEFORE the egg is fertilized. With humans, the female misses a couple of periods and goes to the ob/gyn and he gives her the traditional prenatal vitamins. The problerm is, the embryo forms in the first 90 days. If she doesn't get those vitamins and minerals until the 60th or 90th day, the embryo is at serious risk. As a result, we have one out of 33 American babies born with some physical, mental or emotional defect -- heartbreaking and unnecessary.

Chromium and Vanadium deficiency leads to diabetes. One man claimed temporary insanity every time he ate sugar (Twinkie defense). Just as low blood sugar causes a person to go to sleep, so also high blood sugar causes a person to become reckless.

Tin deficiency leads to male-pattern baldness and deafness. Boron prevents osteoporosis and lets you make estrogen and testosterone. If you have a zinc deficiency you will lose your sense of smell and taste. Take Calcium for cramps, zinc for warts, vitamin C for scurvy, vitamin D for rickets, B17 for Cancer (Hunzas' favorite food -- apricot pits), vitamin B for Beri Beri, B-complex for Pellagra and vitamin E for a strong heart (Ps. 104:14).

There are seven rare earth minerals that double the life of lab animals. (Thulium, Lanthanium, Samarium, Europium, Neodymium, etc.). Minerals aren't made by plants. Plants can make vitamins, amino acids and fatty acids. But if the mineral is not in the soil, it won't be in the plant . The soil is depleted of minerals. We need mineral supplements. Senate document #264 written in 1936 during the 74th Congress states that our soil is depleted. If its not in the soil, it won't be in the plant. The soil is depleted of minerals and therefore we need mineral supplementation. It takes five to ten years to deplete farm land of its minerals. Plants pull minerals out of the soil. Commercial fertilizers are composed of Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus. Called NPK. Farmers take out 60 and put back three. What did people do thousands of years ago who had no commercial fertilizers or supplements? They had the Nile floods periodically putting silt and rock dust back into the soil. Same with the Ganges and Yalu Rivers. Phillip of Macedon married Cleopatra of Egypt who was age 12 to get the Egyptian wheat. Calcium deficiency alone results in 147 different diseases.

In Bells Palsey one side of the face saggs. Osteoporosis, dentures, receding gums, all have nothing to do with flossing and brushing. Animals don't get receding gums and they don't floss or brush. Gingivitis (advanced osteoporosis), Arthritis (85% of arthritis is caused by osteoporosis of the joint ends of the bone), Hypertension (high blood pressure). Doctors will tell you to give up salt but really it is Calcium deficiency. Animals crave salt licks. Doubling the RDA of Calcium stopped high blood pressure in six weeks. Doctors treat Insomnia with Halcyon and barbituates and kill 10,000 people a year through overdoses and wrong prescriptions. All they need to prescribe is more calcium. George Bush threw up on the Japanese ambassador after being given Halcyon. Kidney Stones, Bone Spurs, heel spurs, Calcium deposits, cramps and twitches all are the result of a raging calcium deficiency, not too much calcium. Physicians tell us to give up calcium and dairy but kidney stones and calcium deposits come from the bones, not the diet. Doctors treat PMS with a hysterectomy. There are 285,000 hysterectomy operations per year in the U.S. The AMA says they're unnecessary. Low back pain is osteoporosis of the vertebrae. It is a deficiency of calcium and copper. Aspirin causes gastric bleeding; Ibuprofin causes cirrhosis of the liver; cortizone subdues the immune system. Prozak and Ritalin produces kids that murder their classmates. Chemotherapy and radiation are not necessary to treat cancer since "Selenium A Cancer Knockout?" has demonstrated a 60% reduction of Prostate Cancer for those who take 250 mg per day.

Diabetes leads to blindness, kidney failure and amputations, but in 1957 we learned that we could prevent and cure Diabetes (and hypoglycemia) with two trace minerals -- Chromium and Vanadium (and Zinc). Vanadium alone will replace insulin. Diabetics can wean off of insulin in 4 to 6 months. I've seen it work on hundreds and hundreds of people.

Science diet dog food contains 40 minerals. Ralston Purina Checkerboard Square rat pellets for lab rats contains 28 minerals. Human infant formulas contain 11 minerals (Similac, Pro-Soy B, S.M.A.). We need supplements because the average person would need to eat 200 pounds of spinach per day to get the magnesium he needs.

Taking pain relieving pills is like cutting the wire on the dashboard that tells a person the engine needs oil.

There are three kinds of minerals (those metals on the periodic table of elements):

The most commonly known or sold kind is "metallic" minerals. (ground up rocks). Sulfates and oxides. The problem is they are only around 8%-12% absorbable by our bodies. Metallic minerals are ground up metals that are still too big to be used efficiently and thus help. Iron oxide (rust), Dolomite, Calcium carbonate are 8 to 12% absorbable. Thus, 90 tablets of Calcium Lactate are needed per day. At age 35 to 40 it drops to 3 to 4% absorbable. Inside portapotties they find hundreds of vitamin/mineral tablets undigested.

The next kind is "chelated" (pronounced "key-late'd") minerals. They aren't well known and are hard to find in stores, but they are 42% absorbable by our bodies. They are metallic minerals coated with an amino acid, protein, or enzyme.

And then there's "colloidal" minerals. They are barely known and aren't found in stores yet, but they are 98% absorbable by our bodies. They are metals that are much smaller than metallic minerals. They are negatively charged particles suspended in liquid. Our intestinal lining is positively charged.

And now I'll conclude the explanation.
How to make your own colloidal minerals:

Colloidal minerals form in a variety of ways. When flowing water slowly weathers down metals (rocks) and when a glacier's emmense pressure slowly breaks apart metals, you get colloidal minerals. Alternatively, plants can take minerals in from the surrounding soil and then use its bio-electric energy (or chi, if interested in the subject) to break the minerals down to colloidal form.

Growing plants is much faster than waiting on rivers or glaciers, but there's a problem: plants don't create minerals; the plants only convert already-existing metalic minerals into colloidal minerals and, over time, the minerals in the soil will run out. This is tragic because on most farms the minerals aren't being replenished resulting in us living in much more pain than we would otherwise.

That being said, however, it's not that difficult to mimic the plants' electrical method yourself. I'll try to explain, but if you want to see a video of the process there's a good demonstration in one of Bob Beck's videos entitled "Suppressed Medical Discovery" (at around 1:08:34) you can find in one of the threads linked at the beginning of the post or through a video search.

All metals conduct electricity to varying degrees, but when electricity is running through a metal that's under water, very small ("nano-sized") pieces of the metal break off and into the water forming colloidal minerals. (See, sounds much simpler than "negatively charged" or "electrolysis-like," eh?)

If more people knew, maybe more information on the subject would surface.

For example, I had a couple of ideas that search engines apparently think is taboo: What if people found their own metals, a large portion of Earth's crust, and then put them in water that had electricity running through it? I've read their isn't a limit as far as dosage is concerned, but I don't know if the different metals would need to be separated from each other or if any non-metallic objects or metals that are mixtures of other elements would need to be filtered out before electrification or if only the colloidal minerals could be filtered from everything else after electrification. Only an idea; I don't recommend anyone try this without knowing everything there is to be known about all the aspects of the idea.

To push a little further though, if the above idea would work, why not, instead of finding your own metals, just buy metallic minerals, filter whatever needs filtered, and then put them in water with electricity running through it? Metallic minerals probably have stuff you shouldn't electrocute and then consume, but perhaps plants could absorb them easily enough.
