Is "Depression" a disease? Are you "schizophrenic" if you believe God can speak to you? Do drugs restore a chemical imbalance? Can Psychiatry cure patients? Was John's Apocalypse the result of having hallucinations and becoming delusional after being a prisoner on Patmos? Was Daniel suffering from the same psychotic illness? Is there no absolute eternal truth? "What is wrong for me may be right for you"? Is truth subjective and arbitrary?

The basic error of modern "SCIENCE" is that men only accept what they can SEE, HEAR, WEIGH or MEASURE. It's called the "SCIENTIFIC method." They leave God out of their knowledge (Rom. 1:28). "Professing themselves to be wise, they became FOOLS" (Rom. 1:22). Animal and human brains are SIMILAR in WEIGHT and APPEARANCE, yet animals are governed by a pre-programmed INSTINCT whereas humans are uniquely UNLIMITED in their creative powers. The nests of birds, the webs of spiders, and the honeycomb cells of bees have no originality from one to another over time or over location. No unique inventive capabilities. Animals also have no real language like humans have. For instance, a nightingale can vary her tones more than any other bird; but she possesses no more than twenty variations. Among dogs, we can scarcely reckon ten. Therefore, we must be dealing with a non-physical SPIRIT within man (Job 32:8; Eccl. 12:7; Zech. 12:1; Rom. 8:11,16; 1 Cor. 2:11) that is INVISIBLE (John 3:8) to account for the VAST DIFFERENCE between the OUTPUT of animal brains and the human mind. THOUGHTS are also INVISIBLE and HIDDEN behind an OPAQUE skull. How then can men know anything about the workings of the human mind?

First Timothy 6:20 says, "O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust (Scripture), avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of SCIENCE falsely so called." Sigmund Freud was a God-hating atheist who began his practice on Easter Sunday -- not only in defiance of the Christian Sabbath but also in defiance of the resurrection. Freud was deeply involved in the occult: Kabballah and Gematria. Freud stigmatized the Bible (The Future of An Illusion; Totem and Taboo; Civilization and It's Discontent; Moses and Monotheism; Judaism). Carl Jung was a known occultist and necromancer -- a man who practiced things condemned in the Bible. Abraham Maslow was quoted as saying that the most self-actualized people were the most pagan. Carl Rogers rejected Christianity at his Student Union Seminary in New York city and openly denounced the idea that the Bible was authoritative. Eric Fromm was the son and grandson of Jewish Rabbis and was very familiar with the Scriptures, but consciously rejected the Bible for his own existentially derived ideas. Albert Ellis was an openly God-hating atheist. Rollo May was a former student of, and lifelong friend of, unbelieving existential theologian Paul Tillich -- who didn't even believe in a personal God.

Psalm 1:1-2 says, "Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the wicked" (psychologists). "In vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men" ("Christian Psychology") (Mark 7:6-7). "If any man preaches to you another gospel ("Christian Psychology") than that which ye have received (Biblical morality), let him be accursed" (Gal. 1:9). "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Pr. 14:12). "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding" (Pr. 3:5-6). But "every man (does) whatsoever is right in his own eyes" (Deut. 12:8).

What do these Psychiatrists teach? They teach that God's love for mankind is UNCONDITIONAL, or they teach man's "UNCONDITIONAL positive regard" for patients -- Carl Rogers, which NEVER DISAPPROVES of any word or action of the patient. We call it PERMISSIVENESS. Rogers would not advise his patients but instead would merely reflect their attitudes and feelings back to them. Eric Fromm rejected the Biblical model of God's conditional love, as a correcting Father, for the idea of the UNCONDITIONAL love of a permissive mother. Then "Christian" psychology accepted this idea as though it were in the Bible. Yet there is "wrath of God against all unrighteousness of men" (Rom. 1:18). Are men going to say they have "true worth" to God, when his word says sinners are "unprofitable" (Rom. 3:12). "For this ye know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater) hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them" (Eph. 5:5-7).

That is not "UNCONDITIONAL acceptance." I'M OKAY, YOU'RE OKAY. "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 6:9)? "And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself even as he (Christ) is pure" (1 John 3:3). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16) if he repents and purifies himself. God's love is unmerited or unearned but not unconditional. God "hatest all workers of iniquity" (Ps. 5:5), and since we have all "sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23; 3:10), we are all hated by God in our natural state and are "children of wrath" (Eph. 2:3). Therefore, our Savior and God's perfectly righteous Son took upon himself the wrath of God for the sins of his people and imparted to them his own righteousness -- a double transfer. "For he hath made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (2 Cor. 5:21). God can love believers as perfectly obedient sons since his perfectly obedient son experienced his wrath on the cross for the sins of all believers.

Furthermore, he chooses who those believers will be, not us, because "there is none that seeketh after God" (Rom. 3:11) and "no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father" (John 6:65). Even faith is a gift from God therefore. Not something we do. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God -- Not of works , lest any man should boast" (Eph. 2:8-9). Jacob was chosen over Esau before either was born. Therefore "not of works, but of him that calleth" (Rom. 9:11). "So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy" (Rom. 9:16). But this free gift is not a license to live a careless life continuing in sin. That would be "turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness" (Jude 1:4). God's love is correcting. "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth" (Heb. 12:6). "He that spareth his rod hateth his son; but he that loveth him chasteneth him early" (Pr. 13:24). "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous, therefore, and repent" (Rev. 3:19). "Thy kingdom come (to Psychology), thy will be done (in Psychology) on earth as it is in heaven" (Matt. 6:10). We should all have a healthy fear of God's disapproval. "There shall in no way enter into it anything that defileth" (Rev. 21:27). Through life experiences we are transformed into God's image and way of life: "We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren" (Rom. 8:28-29). Jesus was the express image of his Father. "We know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is" (1 John 3:2). This process won't be completed till the resurrection because "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 15:50-53). (see www.christiandiscernment.com for more)

Should a Christian take anti-depressant drugs? "For by thy sorceries (Strong's 5331 "pharmakeia" meaning "medication" or "pharmacy") were all nations deceived" (Rev. 18:23). Prozac (causes users to commit suicide), Paxil, Ritalin (has a molecular structure very similar to Cocaine and human brain can't tell the difference), Abilify, Ambien and Zoloft have a long list of serious side effects. "Neither repented they ... of their sorceries (Strongs 5331 "pharmakeia" meaning "medications")" (Rev. 9:21)? "Sorcerers" are also mentioned in Revelation 21:8 and 22:15 and may refer to Psychiatrists and Pharmacists. Drugs provide no resolution to the basic problem. They don't restore any "chemical imbalance" or cure depression. There is no blood test to diagnose anything. Taking drugs just masks the real problem. The Bible says "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" Therefore, depression has to do with a person's thoughts, not with a chemical imbalance. Cure depression by removing the cause of depression. An inconsiderate act or a rude comment. An undeserved guilt trip or a malicious injury. Depression is not a disease. Prescription pain and anxiety drugs are potent, highly addictive and especially dangerous when combined with one another or with other drugs or alcohol. Drugs as a cause of death in 2009, killed at least 37,485 people nationwide, (CDC). Among the most commonly abused are OxyContin, Vicodin, Xanax and Soma. The painkiller Fentanyl comes in the form of patches and lollipops and is 100 times more powerful than morphine.

The truth is we cannot tell who is mentally ill and who is not by looking at pictures of their brains or analyzing their blood. Psychologists had to invent their own book of diseases because pathologists would have nothing to do with them. Its called the Diagnostic, Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders. A great work -- of fiction. Every "disease" is invented based on what a patient does, not discovered by something a patient has. It takes one person to have a real disease. It takes two people to have a "mental illness." In the 18th century there were 5 categories of mental illness. Today there are over 370. No human being can escape one or more of these labels or categories of mental illness (bed-wetting; arguing with your mother; depression). What do you think psychologists would do if Jesus were alive today? He would certainly be involuntarily committed to a mental hospital, injected with drugs to stop his "crazy" beliefs and speech, and not be released. When Christians talk to God it is called "prayer" but when God talks to the Christian it is called "Schizophrinia." Psychiatrists today are the true Grand Inquisitors."Psychiatry, in all of this time does not have one case report of one disease validated. Not one. They meet at the American Psychiatric Association in the Diagnostic, Statistical Manual Committee and they vote on making new behavioral and emotional disorders and then they immediately start calling them diseases. They tell the public these are diseases. Total Fraud." -- Dr. Fred Baughman Jr. "The actual truth about chemical balance is that it is an actual lie. Nobody has yet demonstrated, measured, or created a test to show that somebody has a chemical imbalance in their brain." -- Dr. Thomas Szasz. "What the American public should be thinking about is that when they or their loved ones or friends have received a Psychiatric diagnosis (i.e. Bipolar Disorder; Major Depressive Disorder; Caffeine-Related Disorder; Mathematics Disorder) they should be asking the Doctor, 'Where is the chemical test for that?' 'Where is the objective test for this'? And I guarantee you they will be told, 'We don't have a chemical test for that.'" -- Dr. Grace Jackson. "There is no rational science behind what they think is the cause of these symptoms. The medications that are being given to people, are without exception introducing chemicals that are altering the brain in ways that can be very damaging, and I'll go a step further and say that in the absence of a proven chemical imbalance for which the medications are "rebalancing" or "fixing," the medications are in fact toxic." -- Dr. Grace Jackson. Can Psychiatry cure patients? No. Yet insurance in the U.S. alone pays out $69 billion in mental health costs annually. So Quo Bono -- "Who benefits?" The people who make the diagnosis! "When school authorities tell a mother that their son is sick and needs to be on drugs, how in the world is she to know that that is simply a lie? How is she to recognize that what experts call Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is simply not a disease. And that Ritalin, often administered against the parents' will (of course it is always against the child's will, but nobody's asking the children) is a treatment for it. If you believe that, you'll believe anything.

Now, such a mother is not an expert in the history of psychiatry. She does not know that psychiatrists have, for hundreds of years, used diagnostic terms, to stigmatize and control people. I will only give you a few dramatic examples. When black slaves in the South ran away to freedom, it wasn't that they wanted to be free, they suffered from a disease called 'drapetomania' (literally drapeta -- runaway slave + mania). I am not making this up. This was a legitimate diagnosis just as Attention Deficit Disorder is. Women, half the population of mankind of course, if they were foolish enough to rebel against domination by man, well then they had a serious disease called hysteria which was due to their wandering womb. Now none of those behaviors was ever a disease. Nor is ADD. No behavior or misbehavior is a disease or can be a disease. That's not what diseases are. So it doesn't matter how a child behaves. There is nothing to examine. If he is sick, then there must be some objective science to it which can be diagnosed by physicians and objective tests. That's why as soon as you go to a doctor they take a lot of blood and they take X-rays. They don't want to hear how you behave. When I went to medical school sixty years ago, there were only a handful of mental diseases -- I think there were no more than six or seven. Now there are more than 300. And new ones are "discovered" every day. Labelling a child as mentally ill is stigmatization, not diagnosis. Giving a child a psychiatric drug is poisoning, not treatment. Typhoid fever is a disease. Spring Fever is not a disease. I have long maintained that the child psychiatrist is one of the most dangerous enemies, not only of children, but of adults, of all of us who care about the most precious and most vulnerable things in life -- children." -- Dr. Thomas Szasz. According to the manufacturers of the drug Ritalin, the following side effects do occur: heart palpitations, cardiac arrithmias, Psychosis, dizziness and tremor just to name a few. There is no valid test for ADHD. The diagnosis called ADHD is totally subjective. FOX News has learned that seven of the last 12 school shooters were on Luvox like anti-depressants or SSRIs (15 year old Kip Kinkle was withdrawing from Prozac when he shot 22 classmates; 17 year old Eric Harris on Luvox when he killed 12 classmates and a teacher), Right now 17 million school children are drugged with stimulands and anti-depressants. In the past four decades nearly twice as many Americans have died in government psychiatric hospitals as in all U.S. wars since 1776 (from 1965 till 2005 = 1.1 million psychiatric deaths). Insurance companies pay out 69 billion dollars per year in psychiatric services. A review of acts of violence in U.S. schools since 1998 reveals that 38% of children causing these crimes were taking psych drugs.



A full 40% of U.S. psychiatrists are sued for malpractice during the course of their career helping to drive up all doctor's insurance premiums. Studies show that at least 10% of Psychiatrists admit to sexually abusing their patients. The actual percentage is much higher. Why? Abraham Maslow taught a "Human Hierarchy of Needs chart" in which there are five levels. The most basic level includes "breathing, food, water, sleep and SEX. His premise is that if you don't get SEX, you can't move up the pyramid and be "self-actualized" (successful). You're always stuck at the primitive level. That may be why Psychiatrists, of all professions, are notorious for having sex with their patients. They are the equivalent of male prostitutes. Women patients pay $100/hour (or more) to learn how to deal with life's problems -- and then find themselves seduced and RAPED. (see Psychiatry Is A Mental Disorder on youtube; see psychrights.org)

The New Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (5th Edition) makes a pathology out of simple and normal behaviors, such as grieving for the loss of a loved one, bad eating habits, ADHD, and normal anxiety. Children and teens who exhibit disobedience and defiance (healthy traits of those seeking independence) have a condition called Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) which is labelled a mental illness. "Political Paranoia" is another mental illness. This "diagnosis" promises to end free speech and any form of political dissent. The federal government has already declared anyone who opposes its unconsitutional policies as having "POLITICAL PARANOIA". The new manual targets internet users and conspiracy theorists also. If someone is judged, by some vague set of criteria, to spend too much time on the internet, they could be judged to be mentally ill and ineligible to own a gun. This is just a backdoor method to disarm citizens. Under Obama's new proposed gun regulations, anyone who has a diagnosable, or is potentially diagnosable (i.e. pre-crime) for being mentally ill, can have their gun confiscated. One in six Americans has a "diagnosable anxiety disorder". This is completely understandable given the economic and political circumstances in the United States. However, under the new proposed guidelines, all these people would be ineligible to have a gun in their possession. In order for psychiatrists to make a living and earn a PAYCHECK, they must continually take away someone else's rights -- often the right to own a gun. They must continually prescribe drugs -- become DRUG-PUSHERS. Businesses need customers; and psychiatry is a BUSINESS. Therefore psychiatrists must continually BROADEN the DEFINITION of whom they consider "mentally ill" in order to have a thriving business. "VESTED INTEREST" or "CONFLICT OF INTEREST" disqualifies these practices (Sanhedrin 105; Ketubot 105a). No man should be a judge in his own case, nor may he take the law into his own hands (Deut. 24:16) or REQUIRE people to be UNWILLING CUSTOMERS of his services when they don't want or need them.
