Phocas was then "taken out of the way" (2 Th. 2:7) in 5 October 610 A.D. when he was killed, so the pope could usurp the emperor's secular power in the west. 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, (Sagittarius, Hercules and Ophiuchus) brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the (red radius) charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your (Hercules and Ophiuchus) persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with (Sagittarius) God to recompense tribulation to them (Scorpio, Serpens and Draco) that trouble you (Ophiuchus, Hercules);
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the (Sagittarius) Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty (Aquila, Cygnus and Lyra) angels,

11 Wherefore also we (lunar mouth red radius) pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (Sagittarius), and by our (Ophiuchus and Hercules) gathering together unto him (2026 A.D.),
2 That ye be not soon shaken in (solar) mind, or be troubled, neither by (Milky Way) spirit, nor by (lunar open mouthred radius) word, nor by (white crescent paper) letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a (Hercules, Cygnus, Lyra, Drago, etc.) falling away first, and that (Sagittarius) man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (610 A.D.);
The man of sin is not to be understood as an INDIVIDUAL who is yet to appear in the world, but of a SUCCESSION of individuals, since the Roman Empire was broken up into ten kingdoms in the fifth century, and it would leave fourteen centuries unaccounted for in the scheme of Scripture prophecy. Notice the frequent scriptural precedents for a SUCCESSION: for example, in Numbers 35:25-28, the line of High Priests is mentioned as "the High Priest." In 1 Samuel 8:11, the SUCCESSION of kings of Israel are called "the king." In Daniel 2:37-39, a SUCCESSION of several kings from Nebuchadnezzar to Belshazzar is spoken of in the SINGULAR number. In Isaiah 5:3-7, the whole nation of Israel is described under the term "the man of Judah," the Hebrew word rendered "men" in the Authorized Version being in the SINGULAR number. In Romans 1:17, all the faithful are included in the word of SINGULAR number, "the just" man. In 2 Timothy 3:17, St. Paul speaks of a SUCCESSION of Christian ministers under the term "the man of God." And in Titus 1:7, he speaks of the higher order of ministers under a singular noun as "a bishop." So St. John, in his second epistle, verse 7, describes "the Antichrist" as "MANY deceivers." All these passages serve to show that a SUCCESSION of individuals are described by a SINGULAR noun.
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God (In St. Peter's above the High Altar, there is a throne built into the architecture. On the High Altar is placed a consecrated host), or that is worshipped; so that he as (solar golden illuminating) God sitteth in the (astronomical) temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
In St. Peter's in Rome, during the coronation of a new pope, he is carried up to the throne above the High Altar where the throne is built into the architecture. He sits literally "above that which is called God" since a consecrated host is placed on the High Altar. The priest actually claims to "create his Creator" through "transubstantiation."
In 2 Corinthians 6:16 we read, "And what agreement hath the naos (temple) of God with idols? for ye are the naos (temple) of God." Ephesians 2:19-21 says, "Ye are ... the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone; in whom all the building ... groweth unto an holy naos (temple) in the Lord." First Corinthians 3:16-17 says, "Know ye not that ye are the naos (or temple) of God ... If any man defile the naos (temple) of God, him shall God destroy: for the naos (temple) of God is holy, which naos (temple) ye are." The "man of sin ... sitteth in the naos (temple) of God, showing himself that he is God." (2 Th. 2:3-4).
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
Canon law of the Church of Rome affirms that "The Roman Church, by the appointment of our Lord, is the mother and mistress of all the faithful." (Corp. Jur. Can. Joan Gib., 2, p.8)
Paulus Diaconus and Anastasius alike testify that "Pope Boniface III obtained a decree from the Emperor Phocas, ordering that the apostolical seat of St. Peter should be head of all Churches" (Anastasius, Annal. AD 607).
Pope Boniface VIII (AD 1295-1303) decreed as follows: "We declare, say, define, and pronounce it to be necessary to salvation, for every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff." (Corp. Jur. Can. 2, Extrav., 1, tit. 8, 1)

"We Christians are under a particular necessity of praying for the emperors, and for the continued state of the empire, because we know that dreadful power which hangs over the whole world (the man of sin) is retarded by the continuance of the time appointed for the Roman Empire" (Tertullian Apology, 32)
"The Roman state, the departure of which, when it is scattered among ten kings, shall bring in Antichrist, and then shall the Lawless One be revealed" (Tertullian, De Resur. Carn., 24).
"Let us therefore say, what all ecclesiastical writers have delivered to us, that when the Roman Empire is to be destroyed, ten kings will divide the Roman world among themselves, and then will be revealed the man of sin, the son of perdition, who will venture to take his seat in the temple of God, making himself as God" (Jerome, Comment. in Daniel 7).
"If St. Paul had said that the Roman Empire would soon be dissolved, the heathen would have destroyed him as a rebel ... But St. Paul meant the Roman Empire. And when that shall have been taken away, then the man of sin will come.... so the Roman will be dissolved by Antichrist, and Antichrist by Christ" (Chrysostom, Opera, t. ii., p.530).
"As long as the (Roman) empire shall stand, no one will submit himself to Antichrist; but after the dissolution of the empire, Antichrist will invade the vacant seat, and endeavour with all his might to draw unto himself the empire both of God and man." (Chrysostom, in 2 Epist. ab Thess., 2, Hom. 4, 11, p.530; Paris 1738).
"The Bishop of Rome mounted the throne voided through the fall of the empire ... And little by little they came to take the place left vacant by the successor of Augustus" (De Broglie's Histoire de Eglise, 6:424, 456.)

8 And then shall that Wicked (Sagittarius) be revealed (610 A.D.), whom the Lord shall (solar) consume with the (Milky Way) spirit of his (lunar open) mouth (Isa. 11:4), and shall destroy with the (solar) brightness of his coming (2026 A.D.):
"The Lawless One" refers to the ancient term applied to the Roman Emperor, Legibus solutus, "freed from the law;" which expression, Gibbon remarks, "was supposed to exalt the emperor above all human restraints, and to leave his conscience and reason as the sacred measure of his conduct" (Gibbon's Decline and Fall, 8). In the same way it was said, "The Pope is exempt from all human law." (Extr. de Const. Licens. ix. Quest. 3).
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and (Sagittarius) signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (2026 A.D.).
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by (lunar open mouth red radius) word, or our (white crescent) epistle.
16 Now our (Sagittarius) Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your (lunar) hearts, and stablish you in every good (lunar open mouth red radius) word and work.
3:1 Finally, brethren, (lunar open mouth red radius) pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked (Scorpio, Serpens and Drago) men: for all men have not faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our (Sagittarius) Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every (Ophiuchus) brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the (red radius) tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8 Neither did we (lunar open mouth red radius) eat any man's (solar golden) bread for (lunar crescent) nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9 Not because we have not power (right), but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, this we (lunar open mouth red radius) commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he (red radius) eat.
11 For we (lunar ear) hear that there are some (Ophiuchus) which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and (lunar open mouth red radius) eat their own bread.
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that (Ophiuchus) man, and have no company with him, that he may be (red radius) ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Now the (Sagittarius) Lord of peace himself (red radius) give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
