The children of GAD were ZEPHON, HAGGI, SHUNI, OZNI (or EZBON), ERI, ARODI and ARELI (Gen.46:16; Num.26:15-18). Swedes were known to the Latins as SUIONES (Germania 44) from SHUNI. The HERULI, from ARELI, migrated to Sweden (Brit.13:403). Evidence of HAGGI is found in the place names HAGERSTEN, HOGANAS, HOGBY, HOGDAL, HOGSJO, HOGSBY, HOGSATER, HOG klint cape and HAGA, Stockholm all in Sweden. Norway and Germany also have a number of places apparently named after HAGGI. OZNI named OSNABRUCK Germany. The ERITES became the RAETI people of Switzerland. SWITZERLAND dwells "like a lion" in a natural fortress (Deut.33:20). GAD means "A Troop" and Swiss are "a troop" of citizen militia (Gen.49:19). ERITES are also found near ERIBOLL Lake Scotland. The son named ARODI (Gen.46:16) may have gone to Drangiana where we find the town of RUDA. In Scotland we find: ARDBRECKNISH, ARDCHATTAN, ARDCHYLE, ARDCLACH, ARDCONNEL, ARDESS, ARDENTINNY, ARDEONAIG, ARDESS, ARDGOUR, ARD Lake, ARDBEG point, etcetera. In France is the town of ARUDY.

"He provided the first part for himself" means he chose to settle on the other side of the Jordan in the land of Gilead and Bashan (Nu. 32).

The medieval geographer, Abraham Ortellius notes that when the kingdom of Israel fell, "The Ten Tribes went west and north to Arsareth, where, on entering, they were called GAUTHEI or the people of God" Jacques Abbadie, the French minister and Huguenot refugee, wrote in 1723, "Unless the ten tribes of Israel are flown into the air, or sunk into the earth, they must be those ten GOTHIC tribes that entered Europe in the fifth century (B.C.) ... and founded the ten nations of modern Europe. If the Ten Tribes are the people of (Europe) or if they are part of them, one cannot doubt but that they have flourished like the lily ... But if the Ten Tribes did not return to God in the conversion of (Europe), all the oracles, which have controlled the destiny of this people, are without fulfillment" (The Triumph of Providence).

Did The GOTHS Come From GUTIUM?

"Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah did Sennacherib, king of Assyria, come up against all the fenced cities of JUDAH, and took them" (2 Ki. 18:13; Isa. 36:1). "I then besieged Hezekiah of JUDAH who had not submitted to my yoke, and I captured forty-six of his strong cities and fortresses and innumerable small cities which were round about them ... I brought out therefrom two hundred thousand and one hundred and fifty people, both small and great, male and female ... (Hezekiah) himself, like a caged bird, I shut up within Jerusalem" (from Sennacherib's six-sided baked clay prism in the British Museum).

These Jews are distinct from the Jews at Jerusalem (Ez. 11:15) who were taken to Chaldea and eventually partly returned (Jer. 24:5). Where were these JEWISH captives taken? On the eastern bank of the Tigris River in the Zagros Mountains of MEDIA was GUTIUM. This is the very same area that Israelites were taken captive. What would be more natural than for these captives of JUDAH to be placed next to their Israelite brothers and to be known as GUTI.

They migrated from Media to Arsareth (Her. 4:11; 2 Esdras 13:39-46) where we find the GETAE on the west shore of the Black Sea. The GETAE "are the noblest as well as the most just of all the Thracian tribes" (Herod. 4:93). "They believe in their immortality, and that there is no other God but their own.

"GOTH" is undoubtedly derived from GUTA-theod. Theod being old English for "a people." GOTH therefore means the "people of GUTA."The GOTHS shattered Greek paganism, smashing idols and temples everywhere. They think that they do not really die, but that when they depart this life they go to Zal-Moxis." The mysterious disappearance assigned to this hero, his supposed association with Pythagoras, the pupil of Ezekiel, while Herodotus believed that he lived long before the time of Pythagoras, and supposed he might be a native god of the GETAE; and, finally, the addition of Strabo that he acquired his knowledge in Egypt, makes it probable that Zal-Moxis is a Greek corruption of Moses with the prefix "Sar" meaning "Lord."

A town on the south bank of the Danube, near its mouth, bears the name Isak-cha to the present day. GETAE disappear about 106 A.D. About 220 A.D. the name GOTH is mentioned in Roman history. Romans considered them two names for the same people. They migrated to GOTHLAND in Sweden. According to Jordanis, the GOTHS originated in the island of Scandza "in the north, in the Arctic Sea, near Thule." "Scandza lies in front of the river Vistula, which rises in the Sarmatian mountains and separates Germany from Scythia." An island of Denmark or perhaps GOTHLAND (Sweden) is the modern identity of Scandza. Jordanis considered the GOTHS the GETIC branch of the Scythians: "In the midst of Scythia the mighty Tanais flows: this was the second home of the GOTHS: that is the country of Dacia, Thrace and Moesia."The GOTHS, JUTES and GETAE were the same people; therefore the peninsula of JUTLAND, as well as the Isle of GOTHLAND, are called GOTHLAND by King Alfred. The earliest tradition of the GOTHS refers to their MEDIAN home ("Midum heime") (p.473 of Professor Ritter's Vorhalli). In fact Israel would have migrated from MEDIA about 150 years before Herodotus wrote his history. The little band first introduced into England by Hengist and Horsa were JUTES. Their name has been written as GEATUM, GIOTOE, JUTOE, GUTOE, GEATANI, JOTUNI, JETOE, JUTOE, JUITOE, VITOE, etc. The Vetus Chronicum Holsatioe, p.54 says the Danes and JUTES are JEWS of the tribe of Dan.

Is Sweden NAPHTALI?

Antiquities, book 9, chapter 14, section 1 says that "the king of Assyria ... besieged Samaria three years ... and quite demolished the government of the Israelites, and transplanted all the people into MEDIA and PERSIA." Also Tobit 1:1-14 says, "Tobit ... of the tribe of NAPHTALI ... I did many almsdeeds to my brethren, and my nation, who came with me to Nineveh ... and I went into MEDIA, and left in trust with Gabael ... at Rages a city in MEDIA ten talents of silver." "NEPHTHALIM" is a common form of NAPHTALI (Matt.4:13; Rev.7:6). The rendering in the Vulgate Old Testament is "NEPHTHALIM." He was taken to MEDIA bordering the Caspian Sea.

Apparently we have a transmission of the name NAPHTHALI in that of the mineral oil NAPHTHA because according to the article "Caspian Sea" we read: "NAPHTHA or petroleum frequently occurs on the shores of this sea. In the peninsula of Abcheron, the whole soil seems to be strongly impregnated with it. It is perhaps found in still greater quantities on the island NAPHTHALIA or Tchilchon, the largest of the islands of the Caspian Sea, situated in the Bay of Balkan." ("Penny Cyclopedia")

Procopius'"History Of The Wars, Vol.1, pp.13-15 says, "At a later time the PERSIAN king Perozes became involved in a war concerning boundaries with the nation of the EPHTHALITAE HUNS, who are called White HUNS, gathered an imposing army and marched against them. The EPHTHALITAE are of the stock of the HUNS in fact as well as in name; however they do not mingle with any of the HUNS known to us, for they occupy a land neither adjoining nor even very near to them; but their territory lies immediately to the north of Persia; indeed their city, called Gorgo, is located over against the PERSIAN frontier, and is consequently the center of frequent contests concerning boundary lines between the two peoples. For they are not nomads like the other HUNNIC peoples, but for a long period have been established in a goodly land. As a result of this they have never made any incursion into the Roman territory except in company with the MEDIAN army. They are the only ones among the HUNS who have WHITE BODIES and countenances which are not UGLY. It is also true that their manner of living is unlike that of their kinsmen, nor do they live a savage life as they do; but they are ruled by ONE KING and since they possess a lawful constitution, they observe RIGHT and JUSTICE in their dealings both with one another and with their neighbors, in no degree less than the Romans and the Persians."

The eleventh edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, article "HUN", mentions that in the Turkish forms (Turkish on or un) of the name "HUN" may lurk the cryptic meaning "Ten Tribes. "Hun" means "ten" in Turkic. Naphtali was the TENTH son of Jacob. Sweden is a WHITE country and the people are not UGLY. The name "HUN" occurs in many Swedish place names. For instance: "HUNehals" (south of Gothenburg) means "neck of HUN." "HUNN" occurs in Ostergotland. In the county of Kronoberg is HUNNamala." In the counties of Alvsborg and Skaraborg is a long mountain called "HUNNeberg." Almost straight west of there, on Skagerrak (bay of North Sea between Norway and Denmark) appears the name "HUNNebostrand" which means "the beach of the dwelling of HUNS." In the county of Jonkoping, is a place called 'HUNNerstad." The name "HUNNestad" (meaning "town of Huns") occurs both near the southern tip of Sweden in Malmohus county and also near the west coast of Sweden in the county of Halland. An island off the east coast of Sweden in the county of Kalmar is called "HUNO" ("HUN Island"). In Norway also, due west of Hamar, lies 'HUNNdalen" ("The valley of the HUNS").

SWEDEN'S Nobel Prizes are the "goodly words" (Gen.49:21) from NAPHTALI, anciently called "THULE" (Procopius calls Sweden THULE -- Brit.26:197a) and when in China still called EPHTHALITES or WHITE HUNS (9:679). The name NAPHTALI means "My wrestling." The hind let loose" (49:21) may refer to permissive SEXUAL FREEDOM in Sweden. A son of NAPHTHALI was called GUNI and in Sweden today the name "GUNNAR" (masculine), "GUNHILD" and "GUNN" (feminine) are very common but unique to Scandinavia. Even the name "HUN" can be derived from GUNI or CHUNI in E. Europe (Ptolemy 3:5). He came from GUNA GANGPUR, GANJAM and GANGOTRI India. Another son was called JAHZEEL who named the JIZIL River Arabia (2:264, C3) and JEYSULMERE India, YUSLI Baluchistan and the YESHIL Irmak River. Coming to Europe he named JOSSELIN France (10:778, C4), ZEALAND Denmark (also known as SEELAND) and ZEELAND Holland and the country of NEW ZEALAND. He also named YSEL River, YSELMONDE island, YSSELMONDE and YSELSTEIN Holland. In Switzerland is SEELAND District. Another son JEZER named the JAZIRAT ut tavilah Island and JAZIRAH i daraz island both in Persia and JESSORE India became the JASSIANS (JAZYGES tribe) and named the YSER River in Belgium and JEZERO Austria. Another son SHILLEM named SELMAS District Persia (3:81a) and SALEM India. Moving to Europe he became the SILINGAE tribe (23:648, D1). The SALAMBRIA River in Germany and SALMIO Sweden.

Scandinavian races are Israelite. The way in which the traditions of Odin are bound up equally with the Scandinavian and Saxon mythology as well as similarities between English and Swedish customs, indicates the Israelite origins of Swedes, Danes and Norwegians. The Scandinavians, almost alone, preserved the later history of the Scythians, which is one of the links connecting the chain of Palestine to Britain. The only ancient Saxon composition Beowulf is identical in style and matter with one of the Scandinavian sagas.
