Did Jesus Visit Britain?
In Luke 2:42, Jesus "was TWELVE years old" when he went up to Jerusalem. In the VERY NEXT CHAPTER we read that "Jesus himself began to be about THIRTY years of age" (Luke 3:23) when he started his ministry in Galilee and Judea. What happened to the missing EIGHTEEN years? Where was he?
More curious is the fact that JESUS was considered a STRANGER by the CUSTOMS OFFICERS of Capernaum who should have known him all his life. Capernaum was "HIS OWN CITY" (Matt.9:1 & Mark 2:1-4). But a LOCAL tax collector asked if Jesus paid the ROMAN POLL TAX which was levied on FOREIGN VISITORS to Capernaum (Matt.17:27). Custom here is the "octroi," a tax levied on import or export goods passing through the town. (Notice that Jesus paid with a Greek coin (Stater), not a Jewish shekel. The temple tax had to be paid with a Jewish Shekel. This is proof it was not a temple tax as some critics allege.) Again we must ask, "Where had Jesus been?"
"When he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were ASTONISHED, and said, FROM WHERE hath this man this WISDOM, and these MIGHTY WORKS? Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? And his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? FROM WHERE, then hath this man all these things?" (Matt.13:54-56). We get the feeling that Jesus was UNKNOWN in his own home town. Yes, WHERE did Jesus get his WISDOM and ABILITIES? In John 7:15 we read, "And the Jews marvelled, saying, HOW KNOWETH this man LETTERS having NEVER LEARNED?"
From a DRUIDIC COLLEGE at GLASTONBURY? Such a college would be free of Roman tyranny and pagan idolatry as well as being free of Rabbinic misinterpretation. Even John the Baptist, his cousin, shows UNCERTAINTY about him (Luke 7:19) indicating they hadn't met for YEARS. Jesus' own human father died when he was a teenager. Under both Roman and Hebrew law, the next male kin automatically becomes the legal guardian of the family. The Jewish Talmud says that Joseph of Arimathea was the GREAT UNCLE of Jesus. He was the younger brother of Mary's father. As proof of this fact, a dead body could ONLY be claimed by the NEXT of KIN but it was Joseph of Arimathea who "went in boldly unto Pilate ... and (Pilate) gave the body (of Jesus) to Joseph" (Mark 15:43-45). Why unless he was a BLOOD RELATIVE? The Harlein Manuscripts (in the British Museum -- 38-59F, 193b) further support this claim that Joseph of Arimathea was Mary's UNCLE.
If Joseph assisted Mary in helping to raise Jesus, he probably took him on trips to BRITAIN where he owned TIN MINES. TIN from Cornwall and LEAD from Mendips. Gildas (Albanicus) the Wise (425-512 A.D.) a British Historian, wrote, "Christ, the true Sun afforded His light, the knowledge of his precepts, to our island in the last year, as we know, of Tiberias Caesar" (De Excidio Britanniae Sec.8, p.25). "I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be my people" (Lev.26:12).
Gildas Badonicus (A.D. 516-570) the earliest British historian, refers to Joseph of Arimathea as "NOBILIS DECURIO." The same title "DECURIO" is used by St. Jerome in his translation of the Vulgate of Mark 15:43 "honourable counsellor" and Luke 23:50 "counsellor." In the Roman world a "DECURIO" denoted an important Roman office, usually connected with the management of a MINING DISTRICT. The implication is that Joseph was a Roman Senator in charge of BRITAIN'S MINING interests. We know he was considered important enough to be a member of the SanHedrin (Luke 23:50-51). This is the reason why Jesus had access to the temple teachers at age twelve (Luke 2:46). Jesus accompanied him everywhere. This is also the reason why his own parents lost track of him. Anciently BRITAIN was known as the "CASSITERIDES" or "TIN ISLANDS" (Herodotus 3:115 written in 445 B.C.). "The Cassiderides from which our tin comes ... It is nevertheless certain that both our tin and our amber are brought from these extremely remote regions ... in the western extremities of Europe." (Her. 3:115). There is a strong tradition in Britain that Jesus lived on the Isle of Avalon, the little Somerset county town of GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND. He admitted this himself when he said, "A certain NOBLEMAN (Jesus) went into a FAR COUNTRY (Britain) to receive for himself a kingdom, and to RETURN (to Palestine after 18 years). And he called his TEN SERVANTS (lost ten tribes in Britain, etc.), and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy (my kingdom) till I come. But his CITIZENS (the Jews) hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us" (Luke 19:12-14).
This would then explain Matthew 15:24 where Jesus said, "I am not SENT but unto the LOST SHEEP of the HOUSE of ISRAEL." These are the "other SHEEP I have, that are not of this fold (not in Palestine)" (cp. Ez.34:12). But the Bible shows him living among the HOUSE of JUDAH. -- a different kingdom. How could he get to the HOUSE of ISRAEL when he lived among the HOUSE of JUDAH? Joseph of Arimathea, as a wealthy TIN MERCHANT who owned SHIPS, provided a way for him to visit the LOST SHEEP of the HOUSE of ISRAEL in BRITAIN, SCYTHIA,GREECE and PARTHIA during the EIGHTEEN YEARS he was an apprentice of his UNCLE.
Mark 4:37-38 tells us that Jesus was able to SLEEP on board SHIP in a VIOLENT STORM proving he had SAILED EXTENSIVELY in the past. Rawlinson records that trade was "CONSIDERABLE" and that merchants brought "various METALS and numerous manufactured articles" from Rome into PARTHIA" (The Sixth Monarchy, p.425). In a letter written by St. Augustine to Pope Gregory we read, "In the Western confines of Britain there is a certain royal island of large extent, surrounded by water, abounding in all the beauties of nature and necessities of life. In it the first Neophites of Catholic Law, God beforehand acquainting them, found a Church constructed by no human art, BUT DIVINELY CONSTRUCTED (or by the hands of CHRIST himself), for the salvation of his people. The Almighty has made it manifest by many miracles and mysterious visitations that he continues to watch over it as sacred to Himself." Yes, Jesus was a "CARPENTER" (Mark 6:3).
Haleca, Archbishop of Satagossa, also Gregory of Tours, in the History of the Franks (AD 544-595) both say, "Joseph of Arimathea was the first to preach the gospel in Britain."
According to Doomsday Book, in the British Museum, AD 38, Joseph of Arimathea, Lazarus, Martha and Mary, Marcella, and others, who had been persecuted by the Jews, lived at Glastonbury, where was a college, which subsequently was made a free gift to them. Glastonbury was an ancient Hebrew settlement, formerly called Avalon, and the birthplace of Christianity in Britain.
JERUSALEM
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my Bow of burning gold:
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!
I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant Land.
-- written ca.1804-1810 by William Blake
The purpose of British Israel doctrine is to "build Jerusalem" (the Biblical way of doing everything) in a materialistic Celto-Saxon culture consisting of "Satanic Mills." But Ephraim regards God's law as "foreign" (Hosea 8:12) and British-Israelite Identity is looked upon with shame and called "racist." God says, "How long will ye turn my glory into shame?" (Ps. 4:2; cp. Hos.4:7). This doctrine glorifies God.
