Zechariah Chapters 3 & 4 Star Chart: Clockwise from 536 B.C., when the foundation was laid, to 515 B.C. when the Temple was finished, is 20 years or 240° months. "I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed" (Ps. 132:17). Counting from Scorpio's seven-branched menorah (or olive tree) to Cancer's seven-branched menorah (or olive tree) is exactly 240° months during which time the "the destroying mountain which destroyed all the earth" (Jer. 51:25) "shalt become a plain" (Zech 4:1) by rotation. Notice that one limb of Scorpio is crossed out. Same is true of Cancer. Cyrus' decree in his first year (Ezra 1:1) was 538 B.C. Zerubbabel was part of the first wave of Jewish captives to return to Jerusalem (Ezra 1:1-2). The Persian king appointed Zerubbabel as governor of Judah (Haggai 1:1), and right away he began rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem with the help of Joshua, the high priest (Ezra 3:2-3, 8). It would be 70 years from the destruction of Solomon’s temple, also known as the first temple, by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. (2 Kings 25:8-10) till it was fully rebuilt. In the second month of the second year of the return the foundation was laid (Ezra 3:8-13) -- 536 B.C. Then construction was delayed by Samaritan settlers whose friendly overtures masked a hidden hostility (Ezra 4:1-5). As a result of the opposition to the temple construction, Persia withdrew support for the project for 17 years (Ezra 4:21). Finally, God sent the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to encourage and support Zerubbabel (Ezra 5:1-2), and the work resumed in the second year of the reign of Darius Hystaspes of Persia (Hag. 1:14) (August 29, 520 BC). "The house was completed on the third day of the month of Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius" -- four years later, in 515 B.C., and dedicated with great fanfare (Ezra 6:16-19). It was also celebrated by the observance of the Passover (Ezra 6:19). Zerubbabel’s temple is also referred to simply as the “Second Temple.” Zerubbabel was the grandson of Jehoiachin, the captive king of Judah (1 Chr. 3:17). A descendant of David, he was in the direct line of the ancestry of Jesus (Luke 3:27; Matt. 1:12). Many scholars, who believe that Luke's genealogy of Jesus traces his bloodline through his mother Mary, believe that Zerubbabel is a common ancestor for Mary and her husband Joseph, who was Jesus' adoptive father. Since Zerubbabel was said in Zechariah 4:9 to have laid the foundations of the new Temple, whilst Tattenai's letter to Darius says that Sheshbazzar laid the foundations of the Temple (Ezra 5:16), we can conclude that they were one and the same. Sheshbazzar was the Persian name for Zerubbabel ("Born in Babylon") (cp. Ezra 1:8 & 5:14). |

A Gold Menorah and Two Olive Trees
3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest (Castor) standing before the angel of the Lord (Pollux), and Satan (black crescent moon) standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the Lord (Pollux) said unto Satan (black crescent moon), The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments (Castor in black), and stood before the angel (Pollux).
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him (Castor). And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with (white Milky Way) change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head (gibbous gold moon), and clothed him with garments (white Milky Way). And the angel of the Lord stood by.
6 And the angel of the Lord protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the (green Milky Way) Branch (Cepheus the King -- Christ the King -- who gives his Holy Spirit to those who obey him).
9 For behold the stone (sun) that I have laid before Joshua (Ophiuchus); upon one stone shall be seven eyes (Scorpions have two eyes on the top of the cephalothorax, and usually two to five pairs of eyes along the front corners of the cephalothorax -- Wikipedia): behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day (Passover, 31 A.D.).
10 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine (Milky Way) and under the fig tree (Scorpio -- the Palm Tree and Cancer -- the Mulberry Tree).
4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep (Gemini).
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a menorah all of gold (Scorpio), with a (SUN) bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof (Notice that one leg is crossed out on Scorpio and Cancer by the radius line to make seven in each case.):
3 And two olive trees by it (Israel and Judah: Scorpio -- the Palm Tree and Cancer -- the Mulberry Tree), one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts (olive oil -- Holy Spirit -- produces the light).
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? (Milky Way mountain; Babylon --"the destroying mountain which destroyed all the earth" -- Jer. 51:25) before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it (Christ is the chief corner stone -- notice Cepheus the King as the headstone of the golden radius line mountain).
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house (536 B.C.); his hands shall also finish it (515 B.C.); and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice (Zodiac smiling face -- sun and moon eyes with Milky Way smile and radius line nose), and shall see the plummet (LUNAR plumb bob with radius line) in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord (Scorpions have two eyes on the top of the cephalothorax, and usually two to five pairs of eyes along the front corners of the cephalothorax -- Wikipedia), which run to and fro through the whole earth.
11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two (green Milky Way) olive branches which through the two (radius line) golden pipes empty the golden oil (sunlight is holy spirit) out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones (two witnesses, like Zerubbabel and Joshua, who build the spiritual Temple -- Rev. 11), that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
