Why avoid sexual intercourse during MENSTRUATION (Lev.18:19)? Is the presence of a HYMEN proof of virginity (Deut.22)? Just what is the MEANING of SEX anyway?

Let's begin by understanding the meaning of SEX. Women fall in love by what they hear (romance novels) while men fall in love by what they see (Playboy magazines). Women look for a man who will "put them first." Men look for sex. Men initiate because "We love him because he first loved us" (1 John 4:19) is spoken by a woman. Men aggressively pursue while women act indifferently ("hard to get"). If women give in too easily they are regarded with less value. In fact, many women have found that the best way to restore romance in marriage is by "rejecting" or not acting too eager with their husbands. For the size of her, she has a huge influence. She obeys him. Just as ancient Israel, the "church in the wilderness" (Acts 7:38), obeyed God, so a wife should obey her husband when she says "I do" (Ex. 24:7). He promises to protect and provide for her (Ex. 21:7-11; 23:22-30). As Petruchio said, "I will be master of what is mine." And to paraphrase Kate, A women's body is "soft, weak and smooth" indicating her purpose in life is to "serve, love and obey" her husband, not fight or rebel against him. SEMEN is the "living water" from the father so the OVUM can become human just as "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water, but this spake he of the (Holy) Spirit" (John 7:38-39) which allows humans to partake of "divine nature" (2 Pet. 1:4). God says, "I will pour my spirit upon thy seed" (Isa. 44:3). At that instant "We are the children of God" (Rom. 8:16). Jewish Christians are actually called "gods" (John 10:34-35; Ps. 82:6) in embryo. In fact, the BABY inside the WOMB typifies the Israelite inside his house at the time of the Exodus. Menstrual BLOOD on the sides of the VAGINA typifies the lamb's blood on the doorposts of the house covering the broken Mezuzah law (Deut. 11:20). The fourteenth day of the first month (of pregnancy) is when both OVULATION and PASSOVER occur. The fifteenth day of the first month is when both FERTILIZATION and the Feast of UNLEAVENED BREAD occur. The last day of this Feast is when Israel passed through the Red Sea and reached safety on shore.The OVUM must also travel through the womb's red blood to the other side where it IMPLANTS into the uterine wall. The female womb FEEDS and PROTECTS the tiny embryo just as the church --"the mother of us all" (Gal. 4:26; Heb. 12:22-23) -- feeds and protects Israelites. Fifty days after the ovum enters the womb (Lev. 23:16), the embryo becomes a FETUS with all major internal organs present. This typifies PENTECOST when the Israelites were given all the major laws of God (Ex. 20-24). They must grow and develop. On ROSH HASHANAH the baby can hear sound. On YOM KIPPUR its blood is produced in its bones. By SUKKOT its lungs are functioning and on the EIGHTH DAY the baby will survive birth. Then come the birth pains "as travail upon a woman with child" (1 Th. 5:3) beginning the LABOR contractions: war, famine, disease, earthquakes (Matt. 24:8; Isa. 13:8). The Israelite must be "born again" (John 3:3), not composed of flesh but composed of spirit this time (John 3:6). Jesus was the "firstborn among many brethren" (Rom. 8:29). According to Daniel's amazing Seventy-Weeks Prophecy, that last week ended in 34 A.D. with the gospel being preached to the Gentiles. If we add a nine-month PREGNANCY (270 years) to 34 A.D., we come to the "BIRTH PANGS" of 303-313 A.D. when Diocletian persecuted Christians prior to the coming of Constantine (Christ) when their BIRTH figuratively occurred. "These things are the beginning of travail" (Matt. 24:7-8). These things are a type of the plan just before the real second coming of Christ.

With this in mind, let's answer the questions posed at the beginning. The Bible says HOMOSEXUALS deserve death (Lev. 20:13). Regarding PORNOGRAPHY, Canaanite images of female forms were to be destroyed (Deut. 7:5). Notice the link between "PORNOGRAPHY" and David's adultery (2 Sam. 11). Regarding POLYGAMY, Sarah said, "My WRONG be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom (Gen. 16:5). God later commanded Abraham to CAST OUT the bondwoman (Gen. 21:12). "No man can serve TWO masters" (Matt. 6:24) and "Neither shall thou take a wife to ANOTHER" (Lev. 18:18, Berkeley; Deut. 17:17). "A bishop must be ... the husband of ONE wife" (1 Tim. 3:2). Regarding ADULTERY, Christ said that whosoever looks at "a woman to lust after her hath committed ADULTERY with her in his heart" (Matt.5:28). The meaning of "WOMAN" here is "MARRIED WIFE" since that is the only way a man could commit "ADULTERY." If she were UNMARRIED it would be "SEX APPEAL." The Greek word "gune" can mean "woman" or "wife" depending on the context, and a man must necessarily "lust" after an UNMARRIED woman in order to be attracted to her. Only MARRIED women wore VEILS (Gen.24:65). Regarding MARRIAGE, a LICENSE is not required. Marriage is a RIGHT, not a PRIVILEGE! Jewish marriages were held in the father's house, not the synagogue or church, and there was no officiating minister or rabbi -- just the parents. Ministers today are licensed by the state (501(c)3 tax exempt status) and any marriages performed by a licensed minister automatically make children wards (slaves) of the state.

Regarding DIVORCE, the Pharisees alleged that Deuteronomy 24:1-4 taught divorce for "every cause" (Matt.19:3) -- like our "no-fault" divorces of today. Jesus corrected this liberal Hillel school by saying that Deuteronomy 24:1-4 refers only to "PORNEIA" (Matt.5:32; 19:9). All of the following causes of divorce use the same Hebrew word for "UNCLEANNESS" as is found in Deuteronomy 24:1-4: INCEST (Lev.18:6), RAPE (Gen.34:7), WHOREDOM (Ez.23:18), HOMOSEXUALITY (Gen.9:22), SEX during MENSTRUATION (Lev. 15:24; 18:19) PUBLIC SEXUAL DISGRACE (Deut.25:3), PERVERSITY (1 Sam.20:30), and INSUBORDINATION (Ezra 4:14). In the LXX, "PORNEIA" is used for MURMURING AGAINST GOD (Num.14:33), NOT FEARING GOD (lsa.47:10), APOSTASY (Jer.2:20), IDOLATRY (Jer.3:9), and WITCHCRAFT (2 Ki.9:22). In fact, the Papal and Islamic "little horn" (possibly a reference to the clitoris) churches are both harlots. In the New Testament we find DESERTION also (1 Cor.7:15). He could put "her away privily (privately)" (Matt.1:19) as Deuteronomy 24:1 allows (see Mishnah Sotah 1.5), or he could make "her a public example" (Matt.1:19) as Deuteronomy 22:13-14 allows. The mercy option would prompt any unfaithful WIFE to immediately tell her husband if she had contracted V.D. to keep him healthy. The justice option would prevent any spouse from merely committing adultery to obtain DIVORCE, or hurt her husband. If the HUSBAND were guilty of unlawful sex, there was no DIVORCE option. He was automatically executed (Deut.22:22-27).

Biblical CAPITAL OFFENSES are another reason for divorce in our modern society since the guilty rarely get executed. Also, the wife can divorce her husband if he FAILS TO PROVIDE food, clothing and shelter (Ex.21:10-11; Deut.21:10-14). The marriage vow "for richer or POORER till death" therefore has limits. The vow, "for better or WORSE, in SICKNESS and health, till death" also has limits. What if she becomes WORSE to the point of IMMORALITY, or SICK to the point of INSANITY? Even the wife's promise to "OBEY" should be qualified. Wives should OBEY husbands (Tit.2:4-5) "in the Lord" or as much as husbands OBEY God (Col.3:18). No more, no less. "Better is it that thou shouldest not vow" (Eccl.5:5).

People ask if an OLDER man should marry a YOUNGER woman? What does the Bible say? The Ancient of Days married Israel who was younger than He since He is Eternal. Abraham married Sarah who was ten years younger than he was. We know men are attracted to beautiful women. Beautiful women are usually age 15 to 35. Older women are usually not as beautiful. Women are attracted to men who are rich, powerful, successful and intelligent. Such men are usually at least 35 to 50. Younger men are not usually rich or powerful or successful or wise. Therefore, we believe that OLDER men marrying YOUNGER women is the Biblical ideal. If a 35-year-old man marries an 18-year-old woman, then he will enjoy approximately 17 years of her beauty and she will enjoy approximately 35 years of his riches and wisdom. Could it be that one of the reasons for so many problems in marriage is that teenage women marry teenage men and both are clueless and poor?

People ask about the subject of SADO-MASOCHISM and BONDAGE. Shouldn't women obey men rather than the other way around? However, SADO-MASOCHISM and BONDAGE may also be hinted at in Daniel 2, where the punishment for failure to worship God properly was that men would instead worship a glorious and expensive statue of a man. In other words, in microcosm the WOMAN is "the glory of the man" (1 Cor. 11:7) and would be worshipped by him. Recall that men (kings) are portrayed as "beasts" or animals in Daniel 7 during a seven-year insanity. The morals of each of these four beasts get progressively worse than the one before it, until in Revelation 17 we actually find a harlot WOMAN controlling and riding the last "beast" or king. SHE controls, punishes and rewards HIM just as a WOMAN would punish or reward her pet dog. MEN end up slaving 40 hours a week worshipping this glorious and expensive FEMALE statue their whole lives. This extreme is clearly shown to be evil. When a WOMAN becomes an IDOL and a MAN worships her more than God, he has violated the first commandment, and his relationship with her is bound to deteriorate. Men often call a beautiful woman a "DOLL" not realizing that this word is just a contraction of "IDOL." How does "worshipping" a beautiful WOMAN (serving and obeying her) differ from idolatry? We believe the line is crossed when SHE no longer obeys HIM in the DAYTIME. Issues such as economics, politics and religion are HIS domain. Men get down on one knee to their wives (or half the time), but get down on both knees to God.

Marriage is a CONDITIONAL agreement rather than a doctrine of demons which "forbids (anyone) to (re)marry" (1 Tim.4:1 -3). But the biblical right to DIVORCE (Deut.24:1-4) is denied any husband who prosecutes his wife falsely for fornication (Deut.22:13-19) or who got her pregnant before marriage when she was a virgin (Deut. 22:28-29) ("shot-gun" marriage). Today in the case of divorce, ALIMONY (temporary maintenance) is determined by his ability to pay and her necessity -- not who was at fault. The Bible method is for the DOWRY to be paid only if the wife is innocent or widowed or the husband becomes permanently injured. The DOWRY assures the bride of a secure future for herself and her children's inheritance as long as she fulfills her terms of the marriage contract. Her husband shows her he is responsible by furnishing this pledge or claim to his property as security up front in trust rather than ALIMONY at the end. But this mortgaged property provides incentive for both parties to remain faithful to their terms of the marriage. Otherwise the DOWRY is forfeited. This "prenuptual agreement" would take the place of a divorce settlement. The innocent spouse should get CHILD CUSTODY, and SUPPORT should be equally shared.

Eve Clothed With The Sun

We begin in Genesis 1:26 where God said, "Let us make man in our image." First PHYSICALLY, then SPIRITUALLY. First in a PHYSICAL LIKENESS, then having the character of God -- the SAME MORALS. This is the purpose of life, to become like God in our thoughts and actions as well as merely looking like him physically. GOD IS REPRODUCING HIMSELF in mankind. We are a "new creation" still going on (2 Cor.5:17). We must develop self-discipline by choosing right and rejecting wrong.

In Genesis 1:27-31 God created mankind "male and female ... And God blessed them, and God said unto them, BE FRUITFUL (Have lots of sex), AND MULTIPLY (Have lots of sex), AND FILL THE EARTH (Have lots of sex) ... And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was VERY GOOD." In other words, SEX IS VERY GOOD!

Genesis 2:18 says, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet (or "fit," "an helper -- as his counterpart" -- YLT she doesn't work against him) for him." Man is only half complete. Woman is the other half that complements him. "And the Eternal God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Eternal God had taken from man, made (Heb. is "built") he a woman, and brought her unto the man, And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh (Adam had just named the animals who were all a different flesh and bone than himself) she shall be called Woman (of man), because she was taken out of man" (Gen.2:21-23). God created Adam and EVE, NOT Adam and STEVE. God didn't intend homosexuality. One of the purposes of sex is clearly reproduction, and that is not possible in homosexual relationships. Josephus says Adam had 33 sons and 23 daughters (Ant.1:2).

Not until there are two sexes is the situation reached in Genesis 2 that Genesis 1:31 describes as "VERY GOOD." It is not good to be incomplete (Gen.2:18). They become one flesh physically, mentally and spiritually because the wife is just as incomplete as the husband. When part of Adam was removed from him to make Eve, he became incomplete. Since Eve was formed from only part of Adam, she was also incomplete. But together they make "one flesh." They complete eachother. The man is made out of the EARTH which is his duty to CULTIVATE (Gen. 2:15; 3:17). The woman is made out of the MAN who is her duty to CULTIVATE. "She was not made out of his head, to rule over him; nor out of his feet, to be trampled on by him; but out of his side, to be equal with him; under his arm, to be protected; and near his heart, to be beloved" -- Henry.

Adam is a type of Jesus, the second Adam (Rom.5:14; Phil.2:8; 1 Cor.15:45-47). Just as Adam NAMED all the animals (Gen.2:20), so also Christ will give "a new NAME" to all those who overcome (Rev.2:17; Isa.62:2). Just as God caused Adam to fall ASLEEP (Gen.2:21) and sleep is a metaphor for death (Dan.12:2), so Messiah DIED. Then a perfectly-built WOMAN in the physical sense came from the SIDE of the first Adam thus providing a way for mankind to PERPETUATE itself. Also a perfectly-built spiritual WOMAN comes from the SIDE of the second Adam (Eph. 5:25,32; 2 Cor.11:2; John 3:29; Rev.19:7-8). As John 19:34 says, "One of the soldiers, with a spear, pierced his side, and forthwith (immediately) came there out blood and water." The blood (Heb.9:22) and the water (Holy Spirit -- John 7:37) allow Christians to become the bride of Christ and to live PERPETUALLY. Instead of BONE of his bone, she will be made SPIRIT of his spirit, and immortal as he is immortal. Instead of being called "WOMAN," she will be called "CHRISTIAN," because she was taken out of Christ. SATAN TEMPTED ADAM to eat and he ate. Satan told Adam he wouldn't die and he believed him. Adam worshipped Satan and he was given all kingdoms to rule. SATAN TEMPTED MESSIAH to eat and he didn't eat. Satan told Messiah he wouldn't die and Messiah rebuked him. Messiah refused to worship Satan and was not given rulership by him.

"And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed" (Gen.2:25). Contrary to justifying nudity, this scripture is found in the context of a man and his wife ALONE together in their very own garden. No other humans existed.

After disobeying God, "they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons" (Gen.3:7). They were ashamed. Nakedness is a type of sin (Rev.3:17; 16:15). Apparently they were CLOTHED WITH LIGHT before they sinned since the woman in Revelation who is "clothed with the SUN" (12:1) is the anti-type of Eve. Genesis and Revelation are mirror-image books. Furthermore, the righteous are described as SHINING "FORTH AS THE SUN" (Matt.13:43) in the kingdom and we know that Adam and Eve were righteous before they sinned.

At this time the FORESKIN of the penis was introduced onto the male anatomy as a covering of nakedness. The woman's HYMEN was also given to her as a covering at this time because we read that "the Eternal God (made) ... COATS OF SKINS, and clothed them" (Gen.3:21; see Maasah HaShem; from Sanhedrin 38b, Eruvin 100b). Of course, this passage can also mean that God made sheep-skin coats for them, but many passages have more than one meaning.

Are Labor Pains A Curse?

In Genesis 3:16 the Eternal said, "I will greatly increase your anguish and your pregnancy. It will be with anguish that you will give birth to children. Your desire will be (subject -- 1 Cor.14:34) to your husband, and he shall rule over thee" (Living Torah & KJV). Instead of being a help suitable for the man, Eve had seduced Adam into disobeying God. She was deceived by the serpent and failed in her councellor duty toward her husband.

However, even BEFORE this fall, the woman was SUBORDINATE to the man. When Paul appeals to Genesis 2:18 as proof of male primacy, he is appealing to a time BEFORE the fall (1 Cor.11:9). If the SUBORDINATION of women were the result of sin, then the man is rewarded for the fall rather than being punished like the woman. No, her SUBJECTION existed BEFORE the fall, but now becomes more oppressive. Paul said women are commanded in the law to be "under OBEDIENCE" (1 Cor.14:34) and that law is found in Genesis 3:16. God chose the MAN -- not the woman -- to classify the animals (2:19-20). God warned the MAN -- not the woman -- against eating from the tree of knowledge (2:16-17). The MAN -- not the woman -- is God's primary partner in conversation (Gen.2-3). This was all BEFORE the fall.

But instead of authority from the top down: God, man, woman, snake, it was authority from the bottom up because the woman was DECEIVED. Perhaps women are more GULLIBLE or easier to deceive since Paul establishes a general rule based on this incident. He said, "Let thewoman learn in silence with all SUBJECTION. But I suffer (permit) not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man (as Eve did), but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, being DECEIVED (by the serpent), was in the transgression" (1 Tim.2:11-14). Paul says women should OBEY their husbands because they are more easily DECEIVED. Just as God RULES OVER men (Judges 8:23), husbands are to RULE OVER wives. The wife should "reverence" (RESPECT) her husband (Eph.5:22-23). She shouldn't disobey him unless his command disobeys the Bible. Man was created in God's image. Woman was created in the reflected image of God in man (1 Cor.11:1-16). Neither in her origin, nor in the purpose for which she was created, can the woman claim PRIORITY or even EQUALITY.

Some women have relatively easy and painless deliveries. Other women have extremely PAINFUL CHILDBIRTHS. The difference is often due to the HEALTH of the mother, and her HEREDITY, not necessarily to the degree of her SINS. Since idleness leads to unhappiness and sin, God gave the woman "LABOR" of childbirth and "LABOR" of childrearing. Both are included in "Eve's curse." This was for mankind's benefit because "in all LABOR there is profit" (Pr.14:23). Men also must "TOIL" to make the ground produce (Gen.3:17-19) which is for their good. These "LABOR PAINS," though punishments, are for mankind's benefit. This is part of the "sorrow" of childbirth. It is also called "travail" (Ps.48:6).

Birth pangs typify the persecution on the church just before Christians are resurrected to life (Micah 4:9-10; 1 Th. 5:3; John 16:21; Rev. 12:2). The pain increases to the point of blood -- MARTYRDOMS. The woman will be torn apart by SCHISM and DIVISION. "A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish for joy that a man is born into the world" (John 16:21). PERSECUTION just before the joy of RESURRECTION. "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now" (Rom.8:22) waiting for the birth of the sons of God. (See also Isa.13:6-9; 1 Th. 5:3; Isa. 21:3; 66:7-13; 54:1; Rev. 12:1-5; Micah 4:9-10)

Did Ham Castrate Noah?

Next we read that Noah "became drunk; and he was uncovered within his tent" (Gen.9:21). And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the NAKEDNESS of his father, and told (with eager delight is implied) his two brethren without (outside). And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the NAKEDNESS of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's NAKEDNESS. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son (Ham) had done unto him (Gen.10:6 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren" (Gen.9:21-25).

Genesis 9:25 should be translated, "Cursed be Canaan's FATHER, a servant of servants shall he be to his brothers." Such relative words are often omitted and understood in Scripture, as in Matthew 4:21, James of Zebedee, for the SON of Zebedee; John 19:25, Mary of Cleopas, for the WIFE of Cleopas; Acts 7:16, Emmor of Sychem, for the FATHER of Sychem, as our English translation rightly supplies it from Genesis 33:19. Thus Goliath is put for Goliath’s BROTHER, as is evident by comparing 2 Samuel 21:19, with 1 Chronicles 20:5. So here Canaan may be put for the FATHER of Canaan, as the Arabic translation has it, that is, Ham, as the Septuagint here render it. Also Saadiah Gaon (882-942 AD) supplies it, as Aben Ezra relates. This makes sense since otherwise Noah addressed both Shem and Japheth while ignoring Ham his third son. Greek "mythology says KUMARBI or CRONUS (Ham) CASTRATED Uranus or Anu (Noah) so was cursed with being "a servant of servants" (Genesis 9:25-27).

Cain was a sun-worshipper (p.236, Cumberland's Sanchoniathon's History). Naamah is singled out as a direct descendant of godless Cain and sister of Tubal-Cain (Gen. 4:22). This is because she is the wife of some person of importance. Ham is identified as Chronus (Diodor. Sic. 4:108). Plutarch says the wife of Cronus (Ham) was "Nemaus" which would be just the Greek form of the Hebrew "Naamah" (p.107, Cumberland's Sanchoniathon's History). "Noah went and took a wife, and he chose Naamah the daughter of Enoch" (Jasher 5:15). Originally she was Noah's wife (Bereshit Rabba, sect. 23, fol. 20.3 Jarchi in loc. Shalshalet Hakabala, fol. 1.2). But she made him drunk (Gen. 9:21; Rev. 17:4); and became his Naamah-Isis or NEMESIS as the wife of Ham. To "UNCOVER" his "NAKEDNESS" (9:21-22) means to lie sexually with his wife (Lev. 18:7; 20:11; Deut. 22:30; 27:20). This is what Ham had "done to him" (9:24). Ham had committed INCEST with Noah's wife. "The man who LIETH with his FATHER'S WIFE hath UNCOVERED his father's NAKEDNESS" (Lev. 20:11). Supposedly Ouranus (Noah) was "injurious to his wife, and that she therefore excited Cronus (Ham) to avenge her quarrel on his father" (p.153, Sanchoniathon). Saturn (Ham) CASTRATED Ouranos (Noah) (p.51 Eusebius Preparation For Gospel; pp. 34, 103-104, Sanchoniathon) and as a result, Noah bled to death (p.341, ibid.). Cronus used a sickle to CASTRATE Uranus who then died (Hesiod's Theogony 154-166). Ham committed "slaughters and murders ... against his brother and children, yea and his own father, and observing that from hence arose a pestilence, and the death of his subjects ... Cronus (Ham) offered up his only begotten son a burnt offering to the offended Manes (Noah) of his father" (p.149, ibid.). He began the practice of HUMAN SACRIFICE. Cain's religion of IDOLATRY was "RESTORED by Ham after the Flood" (p.259, ibid.). He "apostasized" from Noah's religion (p.236, ibid.) and became known as THAMMUZ (Universal History, 1:274). NEMESIS preserved IDOLATRY, MAGIC and OCCULT knowledge through the Flood so men could communicate with the spirit world. She corrupted the post-flood world (Rev. 17:4) just as Solomon's wives corrupted him (1 Ki. 11:4). "Ye shall not go in unto them, nor they to you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods" (1 Ki. 11:2; Ex. 34:16; Deut. 7:3-4). Ham's descendants were cursed (Gen. 9:25) because of their moral corruption. They practised religions that were SHAMELESS, REVOLTING, OBSCENE and DEPRAVED. Was Canaan the result of the incestuous union?

To "UNCOVER his NAKEDNESS" means to lie sexually with his wife (Lev.18:7; 20:11). This is what Ham or Canaan had "done to him" (9:24) -- committed INCEST. And "the man who LIETH with his FATHER'S WIFE hath UNCOVERED his father's NAKEDNESS" (Lev.20:11). Perhaps Ham fathered the Canaanites by committing incest with Noah's wife.

In Genesis 19 and Jasher 10:25, we find that Canaanites became SEX PERVERTS in Sodom and Gomorrah and had to be destroyed because of their wicked ways. Later, the Canaanites killed their own sons and daughters using a religious ABORTION technique (Deut.12:31). Joshua made them servants (Josh.9:23) and Solomon did likewise (1 Ki. 9:21). Later known as Phoenicians and Carthaginians, they were subjected by the Persians, Macedonians and Romans. The Carthaginians worshipped Baal by sacrificing babies to him when things went wrong (ABORTION). Romans captured Carthage in 146 B.C. and made slaves of many thousands of Carthaginians. The Phoenician Empire never rose to power again.

Phallic Elements In Religion

In Genesis 24:2 Abraham called his eldest servant and said, "Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh (TESTICLES)," by way of a solemn oath. Israel in Genesis 47:29 calls Joseph to swear a solemn oath in the same way. His hand on his TESTICLES was the most solemn oath. It is a familiar oriental idea, common among the Arabs in recent times. Thus we get the Latin words "TESTIFY" and "TESTAMENT" from "TESTICLES." In Revelation 19:16 Christ has his name written "on his thigh" (TESTICLES?)

Sleeping on a PHALLIC stone was an ancient way of getting a FERTILE wife, which Jacob was seeking. Jacob took a stone pillar and he "set it UPRIGHT" and poured oil on it and named the place Bethel. This was a PHALLIC symbol. The UPRIGHT stone reappears later in Judges and Kings. Rachel then dies in childbirth and Jacob "set a PILLAR upon her grave" just as people erect GRAVESTONES today. They are PHALLUSES. Isaiah 19:19 mentions "pillars to the Lord." Later when BARREN Rachel wants a son, Jacob goes back to Bethel and SETS UP a pillar, anointing it with wine and oil (the phallic libation all around the world) and takes an oath (TESTIFIES). Jacob and Laban SET UP an UPRIGHT stone at Mizpah and take an oath (TESTIFY). Deuteronomy 32:18 speaks of "the Rock that BEGOT thee." Ps.92:15 says "the Lord is UPRIGHT. He is my rock" which couples with the scriptures already mentioned. A rock is also HARD. Rachel stole her father's images (models of sex organs) to which Laban prayed for fertility of his cattle and wine. Then she sits on them saying she has her monthly period and can't rise (Gen.31:34). Joshua also "took a great stone, and SET IT UP" (Joshua 24:26). The rock therefore symbolizes a HARD, UPRIGHT penis in the process of BEGETTING. This is the "rock" to which Hannah rendered thanks for a son (1 Sam. 2:2). EITHER Jacob, Rachel, Laban and Joshua DIDN'T KNOW any better OR they used UNCARVED rocks. But "Thou shalt not make unto thee any carved image, or any likeness of anything (even a penis) that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them (in the sex act -- Job 31:10), nor serve them, for I the Lord thy God am a JEALOUS God (Why would God be JEALOUS unless the meaning is primarily PHALLIC?) (Ex.20:4-5). In Ezekiel 16 and 23 we read that Israel set up these PHALLIC altars to worship other gods. In the KJV Bible we read about "groves" inside the house of the Lord (2 Kings 23:6). Manasseh "made groves" (2 Chronicles 33:3). "Ahab made a grove" (1 Ki.16:33). Josiah broke down the "groves" (2 Chr.34:7) and Gideon cut down the "groves"(Judges 6:25). What were these "groves" or "asherim"(from Ishtar or Ashtoreth)? They were UPRIGHT poles often associated with the UPRIGHT stone or "Massebah." "Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels ... and madest to thyself images of men (DILDOES), and didst commit whoredom with them" (Ez.16:17). In two of the most intensely PHALLIC cults that ever existed, that of Aphrodite at Paphos and Astarte at Byblos, the symbol of the goddess was a PINE CONE (which is in the shape of a DILDOE). The Baals and Asherahs were gods of FERTILITY. Stones were ERECTED to them. The FRUITFULNESS of their wives and flock and field depended on these Asherim and Massebim. ERECT images were on every high hill and under every green tree (1 Kings 14:22-24). From Rehoboam onward these images and rites crept into the Jewish temple. Moreover there were girls and men (Hierodouloi) regularly attached during this period to the Jewish temple as to the heathen temples, for sexual service and were expected to surrender themselves to men-worshippers in much the same way as Herodotus describes in the temple of the Babylonian Venus Mylitta where every native woman, once in her life was supposed to sit in the Temple and have intercourse with some stranger (Her.1:199; Baruch 6:42-43). The Nautch girls of India are connected with Hindu temples and had in times past a sexual function and whose dances in honor of the god are, even down to the present day, sexually expressive. Is this where NUNS and CONVENTS came from? The Hindu temples also contain many images of PENISES (lingams) which are anointed with oil by women who wish to become mothers. We find LINGAMS notably in Ireland in the form of slender round towers -- memorials of the adoration paid to the instrument of fertility. Jacob named one of his sons ASHER meaning "the UPRIGHT organ" and Reuben named one of his sons PHALLU (Gen.46:9). See page 88.

Speaking about CROSSES and CRUCIFIXES, God says, "Is there a god beside me? ... They that make a carved image are all of them vanity ... The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line ... and maketh it after the FIGURE of a MAN, according to the beauty of a MAN, that it may remain in the house" (Isa. 44:8-13). A church father of the third century, Minucius Felix, indignantly denied that Christians worshipped the cross: "You it is, ye Pagans, who are the most likely people to adore WOODEN CROSSES ... for what else are your ensigns, flags, and standards, but CROSSES gilt and beautiful. Your victorious trophies not only represent a simple CROSS, but a CROSS with a MAN on it" (Doane, 345). From very ancient times, an effigy of a MAN HANGING on a CROSS was set up in fields to protect the crops. The modern SCARECROW is a survival of this sacrificial magic, representing the sacred king whose blood was supposed to assure fertility of the earth (deLys, p.42). Jeremiah 10:5 says, "Like a SCARECROW in a melon patch, their IDOLS cannot speak, they must be carried" (NIV, RSV). The T-shaped cross was used in pagan lands long before Christ, to represent the MALE MEMBER, and also the "tree" on which the fictional gods Attis, Adonis, Buddha, Esculapius, Prometheus, Wittoba and Krishna were crucified; and the same symbol combined with the oval (or yoni) to form the Crux Ansata or Ankh of the old Egyptian ritual -- a figure which is today sold in Cairo as a potent charm and indicates the conjunction of the two sexes. Worn as part of the religious dress it is called the priest's PALLIUM. The prelate's head is passed through the yoni. In Ireland, up to almost the last century, there were three Christian churches over whose doors were seen the coarsely sculptured figure of a nude woman exposing her VAGINA, the idea being that the sight of it brought good luck. The HORSESHOE is the modern representative of the female organ and is often fastened over the main entrance door because the sight of it brings good luck. Isaiah 57:5 says that the Israelites inflamed themselves "with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the VALLEYS under the CLEFTS of the rock." If "Mother Earth" was feminine, then her vagina would be a VALLEY and her CLEAVAGE would be represented by a CLEFT in the rock. Thus, to emerge from a VALLEY was to be "born again." Druidical HOLES are found in the British Isles and India (cp.Ez.8:7). In modern Rome is a large PERFORATED stone in the vestibule of the church close to the Temple of Vesta. The ancient Romans are said to have placed their hands in this HOLE when they swore a solemn OATH. These stones are placed so that there is a HOLE under them though which devotees passed for religious purposes. St. Declasu's stone in Ireland is an example. Also Bramham Crags. Pilgrims pass through a place in the mountains called "Cow's Belly" in Hindostan, Upper India. Gentoos purify their sins in the Island of Bombay, at Malabar Hill, through a natural CREVICE in rock by passing through. A real PIT was standard equipment in pagan temples. Novice priests went down into the PIT and came up again to imitate death, burial and rebirth from Mother Earth (p.2, Woman's Encyclopedia). But God says, "Look unto the ROCK from which ye are hewn, and to the HOLE of the PIT from which ye are digged" (Isa. 51:1).

Baal Peor (Num.25:3) says Inman, means "My Lord the OPENER," and Peor signifies "the opening of the maiden's HYMEN." The name Baal Peor says Larchi, was given to the god because his followers "distended their POSTERIORS before him and offered to him the deposit"; while the female worshippers of the idol uncovered the MONS VENERIS before it, the males were CIRCUMCISED. "Baal-Perazim" means '"Baal of the FISSURE (CLEAVAGE)" and "Baal-Tamar" means "Baal-ERECT. "Maimonides said the adoration made to this idol called Pehor consisted of discovering the SECRET PARTS before it. The law therefore commanded the priests to wear DRAW-ERS when they sacrificed, and forbade them to get up to the altar by STEPS, lest their NAKEDNESS be UNCOVERED. In Syria, says St. Jerome, the image of Baal Peor had a PHALLUS protruding from its mouth. As Hosea says, "They went to Baal Peor, and separated (STRADDLED) themselves unto that SHAME; and their ABOMINATIONS were according as they loved" (Hos.2:16). Today BARREN women RUB AGAINST Catholic statues of saints in Belgium and France (pp.61-62, McCabe). Our society worships Baal on February 14th. Anciently known as the Roman festival of Lupercalia, it was a SEX ORGY and FERTILITY feast. Lupercus was a deified HERO-HUNTER. NIMROD was that mighty "HUNTER" (Gen.10:9). CUPID, the winged boy, was NINUS. Renaissance art made the shots of Cupid into amoretti, "little loves," shown as winged babies. But ancient arrows from Cupid were not babies; they were winged PENISES of bronze, ivory or wood which gave rise to an Italian slang term for the PENIS, uccello, "little bird" (p.198, Walker). Pink HEARTS picture a WOMAN'S POSTERIOR in the bending position. In Chaldee, the word for HEART is "BEL" (Two Babylons, p.190). GRAVE STONES, STEEPLES, and BELLS were all PHALLUSES. Moses said, "Ye shall utterly destroy all the places wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: and ye shall overthrow their altars and break their PILLARS, and burn their ASHERAH with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God." (Deut.12:2-4; 4:15-16; Lev.26:1).

The Tabernacle or Temple Symbolism

The description of the Temple is given in I Kings 6:1-35 and II Chronicles 3:1-17. But first, some thoughts on the Tabernacle: A tent of outer goat skins, then of "ram's skins dyed red" and then of badger skins which are drawn over so as to meet in a closed slit (FEMALE ORIFICE) through which the high priest dressed in white (PENIS) forces his way dramatically on the Day of Atonement picturing the SEX ACT. Yes, on Passover the 14th of Nisan the veil of the Temple was torn in two symbolizing the female HYMEN being torn off and the man has access to the woman. Sacrifices once a month would be the monthly MENSTRUAL blood. (Remember the doorposts of Egypt). The two bronze pillars in front of Solomon's Temple represent LEGS as their names Jachin ("He shall make firm") and Boaz ("In it is strength") indicate (2 Chr. 3:17). They were crowned with pomegranates -- FEET and TOES. Perhaps the Sacrificial Altar is her "footstool" (2Chr. 9:18; Ps. 110:1) and the Sea of Bronze for priests to wash their hands and feet (2 Chr. 4:2), God's SPERM (Holy Spirit -- John 7:38-39). The VAGINA and WOMB and FEMALE GENITALS may be the Porch or Vestibule (1 Kings 6:3; 2 Chr. 3:4) and the Holy Place is the female TORSO. Inside her torso is her HEART -- the incense altar representing the sweet-smelling prayers of Israel (1 Kings 6:22) and her FLESH -- the Showbread (1Ki. 7:48). She represents Jacob's descendants -- the ten menorahs with seven branches each making a total of seventy lights of the world -- 70 Israelites (Ex. 1:5). A small staircase or ramp between the Holy Place and Holy of Holies is necessary since there are six cubits difference in height. This represents her NECK. The Holy of Holies is her HEAD and MIND. The ark of the Covenant is her NOSE with the two staves her NOSTRILS (1 Kings 8:8). Two Cherubs each stood 10 cubits high representing her two EYES (1 KI. 6:23-28). Her arms are the two rows of storage "chambers" -- one on either side of the Holy of Holies (1 Kings 6:5-8). Her HANDS are pictured in 2 Chronicles 4:6 where "ten lavers ... five on the right hand, and five on the left" are mentioned for washing blood off the sacrifices (1 Ki. 7:38). The Bible itself compares the FEMALE HUMAN BODY to the TEMPLE of the Holy Spirit (Eph.5:22-25).

The Marriage Agreement

If a Christian chooses to not get a marriage license or employ a clergyman or have a standard ceremony, the marriage will not be recognized in most states. Common-law marriages are recognized only in the following states: Alabama, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Texas.

Using the biblical ceremony with the father of the bride presiding and without a marriage license means "LIVING TOGETHER." None of the unbiblical "rights" and "obligations" of marriage normally IMPOSED BY THE STATE necessarily apply. Legally, the relationship is governed by a contract, implied or expressed, between the two parties. LIVING TOGETHER is not illegal. It keeps the STATE OUT of your marriage. It eliminates the clutter of UNBIBLICAL STATE OBLIGATIONS from your contract. Your children are yours, not wards of the STATE. Today in the case of divorce, alimony (temporary maintenance) is determined by his ABILITY TO PAY and her NECESSITY -- not who was at fault. God's method is for the woman to be supported from cradle to grave as long as she is a faithful wife. She receives a DOWRY from her father upon entering a marriage. That is hers exclusively. The DOWRY assures the bride of a secure future for herself even if she is later divorced. This security is furnished UP FRONTrather than via alimony AT THE END. Her husband must provide her food, clothing and shelter throughout her life. He gets custody of any children over two years of age if there is a divorce. A few points to remember when writing your contract:

1.) Rely on independent counsel. Each spouse should get his or her own lawyer to avoid the accusation that the one lawyer was partial. Furthermore, the certification of such an agreement by attorneys for both parties is also important to make sure there are no charges of fraud, undue influence, duress or other equitable grounds that might be used to set aside the document. "At the mouth of TWO WITNESSES ... shall the matter be established" (Deut.17:6; 19:15).
2.) Start early and sign early. Such live-in agreements require time to work out compromises. Someone who signs an agreement one week before the wedding can contend later that duress was the reason.
3.) Complete disclosure of every financial asset is essential. Any omission could cause the entire contract to be invalidated. Set forth who owns what property upon entering the relationship. Keep each spouse's property and income SEPARATE. Have SEPARATE bank accounts. A paragraph should be included to assure each party title to gifts or inheritances received by each. Once married, he provides food, clothing, and shelter (Ex.21:10-11;Deut,21:10-14) while she takes care of children (Tit.2:5).
4.) The agreement should establish the beginning of the marriage to prevent later exaggeration. The manner in which the separation or termination of the relationship may occur should also be spelled out. (See pages 89-102 of What's Wrong With SEX?)
5.) A clause should be included whereby the wife waives the right to be supported by the husband if there is a JUST separation or termination of the relationship. In case of RIGHTEOUS separation, the husband is not obligated to support the wife or pay her outstanding debts.
6.) The agreement should spell out that its principal purpose is the mutual promise of each nonmarital cohabitant to provide companionship and homemaking services to or for the other, and it should negate the idea that the agreement was made primarily for SEXUAL services (because of anti-prostitution laws).
7.) A confidentiality clause might also be included, to protect the privacy of each party upon the termination of the relationship.

The majority of cohabitation contracts confine themselves to how partners will divide assets in case of divorce or death. But an agreement can also prescribe in detail how the spouses will BEHAVE in every area of their lives. Although LIFESTYLE CONTRACTS are impossible to enforce legally, they provide a framework for expectations and responsibilities. Anciently the Jewish marriage agreement was known as a "Ketubah." This agreement specified the man's promise to provide for and protect his wife. Also it specified his favorite foods, his standard of living, how he wanted his children raised and his household run. In short, his ideals. Each spouse should hire a lawyer. Solve every potential conflict before it starts by recording a mutually acceptable solution. "We will have SEX FOUR TIMES a WEEK but sleep in SEPARATE beds otherwise. Also, husband and wife will have SEPARATE bathrooms, kitchens, cars and bank accounts. HOLY means SEPARATE. Prior to marriage, everything was SEPARATE, and that is when the romance was strongest. Why cause squabbles by combining (blurring) the boundaries? We will have a DISCUSSION of at least 20 minutes EACH DAY. We will have only THREE CHILDREN and always PAY CASH for whatever we buy. We will NEVER USE CREDIT CARDS. Handle each piece of paper once -- file it, pay it or trash it. Agreement on FULL DISCLOSURE of each spouse's SEXUAL EXPERIENCES prior to marriage. Our religion will be the BIBLE ONLY. Any children belong to the wife until they are beyond two years old. Then they are the husband's. The husband will be responsible for maintaining the home's exterior while the wife will maintain the interior. The husband will have the leadership role and decisionmaking under the Bible. In addition, we will have ten commandments regarding our marriage:

1. "Thou shalt have no other husbands besides me"
2. "Thou shalt not make unto thee any dildoe to bow down upon, or lie with another man, for I am a jealous husband and won't give child support to the children of other men."
3. "Thou shalt not talk about your husband in idle chit-chat, spreading gossip and secrets about him."
4. "Remember the weekend to keep it holy. Six days work at your career, but spend time together with me on Saturday. I want a family get together."
5. "Your children are to honor their father and mother. If they don't, I will spank them."
6. "Don't have an abortion or murder your children."
7. "Don't commit adultery."
8. "Don't steal"
9. "Don't prejudice me against innocent next-door-neighbors with your gossip."
10. "Don't wish you had a house or car or job like your neighbor's house, or car, or job or anything he bought at Macy's or Nordstrom's. Be content with what I can afford to give you."

Abraham And Polygamy

About the same number of men are born as women. The ratio at birth is "106 males to 100 females" (p.170, Williams Obstetrics, 17th ed.). But more male babies die in infancy and at other times than females. God designed it so half the world would be male and half female. It was God's intention for only one man to marry only one woman. He "shall cleave unto his WIFE" (Gen.2:24) -- NOT WIVES -- and they "TWAIN" shall be one flesh (Matt.19:5) -- not they "THREE." Yes, "let every man have his own WIFE, and ... every woman ... her own HUSBAND" (1 Cor.7:2). One wife. One husband. This is the biblical ideal. But in Genesis 4:19, "Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah." God gave David Saul's wives (2 Sam. 12:8) and the Bible nowhere condemns polygamy (Genesis 4:19; 16:1-4; 29:18-29; Ex. 21:10; Deut. 21:15, Isa. 4:1, etc.). "If he take him another wife" or "If a man have two wives" may be the result of a diminished male population due to warfare. God himself was married to more than one wife (Jer. 3:6-14; Ez. 23:4; Matt. 25) although polygamy is not necessarily the ideal (Deut. 17:14; 1 Tim. 3:2,12; Titus 1:6).

For instance, in Genesis 16:3, "Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian ... and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife." When Hagar conceived, she "despised" Sarai (16:4). "And Sarai said unto Abram, My WRONG (Hebrew "CHAMASH") be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she was conceived, I was despised in her eyes" (16:5). Sarai here admits she was WRONG in giving Hagar to Abram. The fruits of this particular case of POLYGAMY are not ideal. Hagar "DESPISED" Sarai. Elkanah had TWO wives (1 Sam.1:1-2). But notice that Hannah was "PROVOKED" relentlessly by the other woman (1 Sam.1:6).

Yet we read that Abraham "obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws" (Gen.26:5). IF WE ARE ABRAHAM'S CHILDREN, as all Christians are (Gal.3:7,29), WE WILL DO THE WORKS OF ABRAHAM (John 8:39) and NOT FORBID POLYGAMY. "All scripture (including the Old Testament) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS" (2 Tim.3:16) and the only "scriptures" known to Timothy were the Old Testament. And "whatever things were written aforetime (in the Old Testament) were written for our LEARNING" (Rom.15:4). "Now these things (we read about in the Old Testament) were our EXAMPLES" and "they are written for our ADMONITION, upon whom the ends of the world are come" (1 Cor.10:6,11). Gideon, David and Solomon also all had MULTIPLE WIVES. Why then is POLYGAMY illegal in the US? When a man gets a marriage license, he is voluntarily entering into a contract to only take ONE WIFE. Only then does POLYGAMY become illegal in America.

Was Jacob Wrong To Take Four Wives?

Jacob actually had two wives and two concubines but there was no harmony. Leah was "HATED" (29:31). Rachel "ENVIED" Leah (30:1). "No man can serve TWO MASTERS; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other" (Matt.6:24). Incidentally, the difference between a concubine and a wife was that a concubine was SOLD by her poor parents for the price of a DOWRY into marriage (Ex.21:7-11), whereas a regular wife OWNED the DOWRYas her independent security. A concubine was a "bondmaid betrothed ("bought" -- 2 Sam.3:14; Deut.20:7) to a husband" (Lev.19:20) who was entitled to food, clothing and shelter. Nothing else.

Leah was the first wife of Jacob. But Genesis 46:19 calls Rachel "Jacob's WIFE" (Hebrew "isha"). We also read about "Bilhah ... his WIFE" (30:4) and "Zilpah ... his WIFE" (30:9). When Jacob discovered Laban's fraud, he should have immediately put Leah away. Instead he accepted her. God later gave a command against marriage of TWO SISTERS. As Leviticus 18:18 says, "Neither shalt thou take a WIFE to her SISTER, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her lifetime. The family intrigue, quarrels and misery resulting from having TWO SISTERS as wives are the natural punishments stemming from divided attention, divided interest and divided authority. "A "house divided against itself shall not stand" (Matt.12:25).

The statute in Exodus 21:7-11 reads: "And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out (or "be sold") as the menservants do (or "are"). If she please not her master, who hath betrothed (or "bought" -- 2 Sam. 3:14; Deut. 20:7) her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed (The dowry is given back to him by her poor family.): to sell her unto a strange (foreign) nation he shall have no power (right), seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. And if he have betrothed (or "bought") her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. If he (the master) take him another wife (The word "wife" here is correct even though in italics -- not another "maidservant"), her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage (Heb. "onah" meaning "habitation" -- p.277, Young's Concordance; the Septuagint properly translates this word as "and her lodging." See also Hosea 10:10), shall he not diminish. And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money." However, Young's Literal Translation renders Exodus 21:10 using such phrases as "another woman" and "her habitation" instead of "another wife" and "her duty of marriage."

Incidentally, if this scripture merely taught us that a "maidservant" was allowed to "go out free" if her FOOD, CLOTHING and SHELTER were not provided, how much more should a WIFE be allowed to DIVORCE her husband who fails to PROVIDE for her? Paul referred to this law in First Corinthians 7:13 by using the phrase "if he be pleased to DWELL with her, let her not leave him." His failure to PROVIDE for her could be described as a form of DESERTION. It is certainly transgressing the covenant (Deut.17:2-5). "But if any PROVIDE NOT for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel" (1 Tim. 5:8).

Let's examine another statute. Turn to Deuteronomy 21:15-17: "If a man have (or "have had" -- J.F.B. Commentary) two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated, and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated (indicating she is now dead); Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn (perhaps two wives in succession -- not simultaneously), But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath; for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his."

Was Rachel a LEGAL WIFE? Reuben (from Leah), was originally the "firstborn" (Gen.49:4). But "forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph" (1 Chr.5:1). After Reuben's INCEST with Bilhah (Gen.35:22), "the birthright was Joseph's" (1 Chr.5:2), the firstborn son of Rachel who was also a LEGAL WIFE. Leah was the first wife, but her firstborn disqualified himself. God DIDN'T violate his own law when he ordered the inheritance of Abraham to be passed on to Isaac -- the secondborn; not to Ishmael -- the firstborn (Gen.17:19-21 & Gen.21:10-12) since Hagar was not a legal wife of Abraham. Therefore, Ishmael wasn't legally the firstborn. In Genesis 16:3, Sarai gave Hagar to be Abram's wife (Heb. "isha"), but the Hebrew word "isha" does not always refer to a bound mate. It often refers to any type of woman, bound or not. "Isha" is a general term for any woman.

Peopel argue that Leviticus 18:18 not only forbids marrying TWO SISTERS at once, but also forbids marriage with any TWO WOMEN at once. The words translated "a wife to her sister" may be translated, according to the margin, as "ONE WIFE to ANOTHER." The Hebrew language may use the terms "father," "son," "brother" and "sister" in a wider sense than we do today. Anything that produces or causes is metaphorically a "father;" anything produced or caused is a "son;" any things akin to eachother in form, shape, character, or nature are "brothers" and "sisters." This is the name given to the loops of the curtains of the tabernacle (Ex.26:3,5,6), the tenons of the boards (Ex.26:17), and the wings of the cherubim (Ez.1:11,23). The frequently used scriptural expressions "a man to his brother" and "a woman to her sister" don't necessarily refer to two literal brothers or two literal sisters, but to two things or persons similar in kind.

The Hebrew word for "SISTER" is "achowth," #269 of Strong's. This is a very general term which can refer to a literal sister, near kindred, or even just ANOTHER WOMAN. This word can also mean "another" (Englishman's Hebrew Concordance, p.46). In Exodus 26:3 we read that "The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another (Heb. "achowth")." Five CURTAINS are not literal SISTERS. In fact, we find that "achoth" is translated "ANOTHER" six times in the Old Testament, and "OTHER" once (Young's Concordance). The Berkeley Version has "a WIFE to ANOTHER." But since POLYGAMY is practised by the saints from Genesis to Revelation, we take "SISTER" in its strictest sense. Leviticus 18:18 forbids taking literal sisters.

God's law presupposes monogamy. For instance, Deuteronomy 25:5-10 describes the procedure for perpetuating a brother's family and name. If a woman's husband died, leaving no children to carry on the inheritance, then it was the duty of the husband's brother to marry her and to father children for her in her dead husband's name.

Why Circumcision?

Next we come to CIRCUMCISION in Genesis 17. CIRCUMCISION is a law of health. Squamous-cell carcinoma (cancer of the penis) is vir-tually unknown among males who have been circumcised. Sexual relations with uncircumcised males has also been linked to female uterine cervix cancer. "Most experts feel that these cancers are caused by smegma, a filthy and foul-smelling paste of bacteria and dead cells trapped under the foreskin" (p.89, McMillen's None Of These Diseases). Cancer of the cervix is one of the most common cancers in women. It comprises 25 percent of all cancers in women.

Genesis 17:12 says, "And he that is eight days old shall be CIRCUMCISED among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed." (cp. Gen.21:4 & Lev.12:3)

Why the eighth day? Because this is the safest time, medically speaking. "At birth a baby's intestines contain no bacteria. Between the fifth to seventh day of life, these bacteria begin to proliferate and produce the important vitamin K. This vitamin goes to the liver where it plays an important part in forming four different clotting proteins. If any one of these proteins is missing, serious bleeding may result.... One of the proteins dependent on vitamin K is called prothrombin ... An average eight-day-old baby has MORE AVAILABLE prothrombin than on ANY OTHER DAY of his life" (McMillen, p.92).

Even the flint knives used to perform the physical operation of CIRCUMCISION clearly demonstrate the inspiration of the Bible. Such newly sharpened knives are practically sterile.

About 85 percent of adult, white males in the U.S. have been CIRCUMCISED. In Europe, however, almost no males are CIRCUMCISED. In England CIRCUMCISION is virtually extinct. The only other country in the world today that reports nearly as high a frequency of CIRCUMCISIONS as the U.S. is Australia (Human Nature, May 1978, p.43).

The American Academy of Pediatrics concluded in 1989 that there may be "medical benefits and advantages" to CIRCUMCISION. Urinary tract infection during the first year of life of UNCIRCUMCISED boys is ten times that of their CIRCUMCISED counterparts. Incidence of penile cancer is much lower in CIRCUMCISED men (Science News, March 11, 1989, p.150). After studying the incidence of AIDS in Africa, researcher Jean L. Marx concluded that UNCIRCUMCISED men may be five to eight times more likely to get AIDS during heterosexual intercourse than men who have been CIRCUMCISED (Science, Aug.4, 1989, pp.470-471). In 1954, a large study of 86,214 women in Boston revealed that cancer of the cervix in non-Jewish women was eight-and-one-half times more frequent than in Jewish women (New England Journal of Medicine, Nov.30, 1954, pp.555-559).

"The exact cause of penile cancer is unknown; however, it's generally associated with poor personal hygiene, and phimosis (tight prepuce) in UNCIRCUMCISED men. This may account for the low incidence among Jews, Muslims, and people of other cultures that practice CIRCUMCISION at birth or shortly thereafter" (p.246, Diseases). Furthermore, UNCIRCUMCISED men are more likely to become infected with chancroid. "Poor personal hygiene may predispose males -- especially those who are UNCIRCUMCISED -- to this disease. Chancroid is transmitted through sexual contact" (p.998). "To prevent chancroid ... wash the genitalia with soap and water after sexual activity" (p.999, Diseases). Also "Balanitis, a relatively uncommon penile disease, occurs in the UNCIRCUMCISED male when the glans penis becomes inflamed ... (this disease) is probably transmitted through sexual contact, and is likely to develop in males with long prepuces, especially those who improperly retract their prepuces and observe poor personal hygiene" (pp.1002-1003, Diseases).

CIRCUMCISION reduces the tendency toward MASTURBATION. In UNCIRCUMCISED males, the foreskin must regularly be pushed back behind the glans penis in order to wash it and keep it clean. This need for sanitation at the site of sexual sensation, stimulates sexual arousal, and leads to MASTURBATION.

Don't let the doctor perform CIRCUMCISION on your baby at the time of birth. Insist that the baby boy be eight days old.

In Exodus 4:24-25, we read that Zipporah obeyed God and CIRCUMCISED her son. Because Moses had refused to do his duty, the Eternal was intending to execute him. According to Jasher 79:10-12, Moses had obeyed his father-in-law, Reuel, who didn't want his first-born son, Gershom, to be CIRCUMCISED.

The foreskin originated after man sinned and ate the forbidden fruit (Gen.3:21). As such, the foreskin represents a physical and symbolic curse. The UNCIRCUMCISED male may be part of the reason God said to the woman, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception" (Gen.3:16) via UTERINE CANCER, CHANCROID, etcetera. In order to undo the curse, we must take of the tree of God's knowledge, the Bible, and be CIRCUMCISED.

Should Christians Be Circumcised?

God told ABRAHAM that "every man child among you shall be circumcised ... he that is eight days old" (Gen.17:10-12). God told MOSES "In the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised" (Lev.12:3). "And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS" (Luke 2:21). Also "on the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child ... he shall be called JOHN" (Luke 1:59-60). PAUL was circumcised "the eighth day" (Phil. 3:5). TIMOTHY, who had a Jewish mother and a Greek father, had not been circumcised when he was eight days old and so Paul circumcised him (Acts 16:3) so he could partake of the Passover (Ex.12:44,48-49).

Now Paul wrote Galatians about the same time as Acts 15 took place (49 A.D.), so each incident defines and explains the other. The Galatians were gentiles (Gal.4:3,8) who were taught "another gospel" (1:6) defined in Acts 15:1 as "Except ye be circumcised AFTER THE MANNER OF MOSES, ye cannot be saved." Since the written Torah says hardly anything about the "MANNER" in which circumcision was to be done, we must conclude that some practicing Pharisees (Acts 15:2) were teaching the gentiles to be circumcised according to the ORAL LAW -- "TRADITIONS of the ELDERS" (Mark 7:3) -- the TALMUD. The ORAL LAW was understood to have been given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai at the same time as the written Torah, and it does specify the "MANNER" in which Jewish circumcision is to be done. It was codified in the Mishnah some 170 years later than the events described here and is largely contained in Shabbat 9:3, 18:3, 19:1-6; Pesachim 3:7; Megillah 2:4; N'darim 3:11; Arakhin 2:2; K'ritot 1:1 and N'ga'im 7:5. The "YOKE" Peter refers to in Acts 15:5 and 15:10 may be the "YOKE of the mitzvot" (B'rakhot 2:2 & Sifra 57b) (TALMUDIC ORAL LAW). In other words, "circumcise ... keep the (ORAL) law of Moses" (Acts 15:5). Paul refers to this "YOKE of bondage" in Galatians 5:1 and thus means circumcision after the ORAL manner prescribed by Moses. Remember that the WRITTEN LAW is "a law of LIBERTY" (James 2:10-12). But when refering to the Talmud -- an attempt to "build a fence around the (WRITTEN) LAW" (Aboth 1:1), Jesus said, "You have made the commandment of God of none effect by your (ORAL) TRADITION" (Matt.15:6). Christ the WRITTEN WORD of God made flesh (John 1:1,14) said "My YOKE is easy and my burden light" (Matt.11:28-30). Yes, the Gentiles must obey the Torah: "As they continue going to the synagogues they will hear the WRITTEN LAW of Moses every week and become obedient" (Acts 15:21). The accusation that Paul "teachest all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children (according to Gen.17:10-12), neither to walk after the customs" (including washings -- v.24) was false. These charges were "NOTHING" "but ... thou thyself walkest orderly, and keepest the (WRITTEN) law" (Acts 21:21--24). Paul believed "all things which are WRITTEN in the law" (Acts 24:14) and had committed no offense against the Torah (25:8). He hadn't even violated the ORAL traditions himself (28:17). When Paul wrote, a Gentile initiated into the community of Israel had to first immerse himself in a mikveh, second offer a sacrifice at the temple and third be circumcised. This initiation rite obligated him to obey the Pharisaic ORAL torah (the Talmud). This is probably the reason why the Greek Titus wasn't "compelled to be circumcised" (Gal.2:3) immediately upon conversion. Actually Christ himself upheld the law of circumcision by using the well known circumcision-overrides-Sabbath precedent to prove the healing-overrides-Sabbath incident (John 7:21-24). The physical act was not replaced by the spiritual meaning as we go from the Old to New Testaments. The spiritual meaning is found in the Old Testament (Lev.26:41; Deut.10:16; 30:6; Jer.4:4; 6:10). The physical act is merely de-emphasized as Romans 2:28-29 should be rendered, "For he is not (only) a Jew who is one outwardly; neither (only) is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh; But (also) he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and (also) circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit (also) and not (only) in the letter; whose praise is not of men (only), but of God (also)."

Leah's Mandrakes An Aphrodisiac?

"Mandrake" means "love plant" in Hebrew. The scientific name is Mandragora officinarum. (Its near relation, Atropa belladonna, is the source of Atropine -- an important medicinal drug.) The root of the plant looks like the human body. The fruit that Reuben found is small and varies in color from yellow to bright red. It resembles a tomato but is too poisonous to eat. The fruit was thought to promote fertility. The plant has a narcotic odor (Song 7:13). A narcotic was anciently prepared from this plant which would dull the senses, induce sleep and with prolonged use would become addictive. The irony is that the mandrakes did nothing for Rachel who hoped they would remove her sterility, but Leah sold them and gained another son as a result. Since Reuben found the mandrakes "in the days of the wheat harvest," we know that Leah became pregnant in May or June. Perhaps Issachar was conceived on Pentecost which usually occurs in early June.

Various drugs such as marijuana and L.S.D. have also been used to increase sexual desire or excitement. These APHRODISIACS are illegal and harmful. The Bible condemns those who take drugs merely for the thrill of it. Galatians 5:19-21 describes the "works of the flesh" and "witchcraft" is included. This word "witchcraft" is translated from the Greek word "PHARMAKEIA" which means "MEDICATION" or "PHARMACY" (#5331, Strong's). Those who take drugs for the high they receive are actually practicing "witchcraft." Christ refused the drug customarily offered to the victim before crucifixion to help deaden pain (Matt.27:34) and he accepted only "vinegar" later (v.48) to quench his thirst.Historically, the people who used drugs were usually idol worshippers, enchanters or temple magicians. But "Neither repented they of their ... sorceries" (Rev.9:21). The Greek word used here is "PHARMAKEIA" also. We know that the "sorcerers ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Rev.21:7-8). The Greek word used here is "PHARMAKEUS" which means "An enchanter with drugs" (p.916, Young's) or a "DRUGGIST" or "PHARMACIST" (#5332, Strong's). In Revelation 22:15 we read that "sorcerers" ("PHARMAKOS") are not allowed inside New Jerusalem (#5333, Strong's). This word means the same as #5332. It is interesting that our drug-based medical profession today is symbolized by two SNAKES entwined around MERCURY'S staff and the symbol for "perscription" is "RX" which came from Egypt and referred to the "EYE of HORUS" (The Body by A.E. Nourse, p.10) or to the pagan symbol for JUPITER.

Revelation 18:23 describes describes a prostitute who has drugged her male clients by her "sorceries" ("PHARMAKEIA," #5331). Clearly the Bible condemns APHRODISIACS. Police officers tell us that sexual fornication and adultery are the immediate and major activities resulting from the smoking of marijuana. Using marijuana causes loose morals. Regular users of L.S.D. are always talking about "love." When they say "Make love, not war," they are referring to sexual intercourse, not disarmament treaties.

Even alcohol is commonly used to SEDUCE or pacify a reluctant sexual partner. "Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies" (Hab.2:15; NIV). This is the purpose of many cocktail parties today.

Did Lot Offer His Daughters to Homosexuals?

Now we come to Genesis 19 and the account of the men of Sodom. Here we read that "the MEN of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter. And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the MEN who came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them (GANG RAPE them). And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold, now, I have two DAUGHTERS who have not known MAN; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes; only unto these MEN do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof" (Gen.19:4-8).

Lot is called 'RIGHTEOUS" (2 Pet.2:8) and yet he offered his daughters to the Sodomites to do with as they pleased. Thus we are forced to conclude he must have been BLUFFING. Lot copied his uncle Abraham's strategy of LYING to the UNGODLY. Exodus 20:16 says, "Thou shalt not bear FALSE WITNESS against thy NEIGHBOR" and a "NEIGHBOR" is defined as someone who shows MERCY or KINDNESS toward you (Luke 10:37). These Sodomites were not "NEIGHBORS" of Lot. Therefore Lot LIED to them.

Lot knew his daughters wouldn't be desired by PERVERTS and QUEERS. Only those Sodomites who were bisexual would remain there. Thus the odds would be more even. Furthermore, being a JUDGE in the city (19:1,9; cp. Deut.16:18), Lot may have been aware of certain municipal LAWS which protected his daughters' rights as citizens. The two visitors had no such rights. Lot was probably made a judge by the people of Sodom because his uncle Abraham had saved the city in a previous battle (Gen.14).

Are Homosexuals Born That Way?

Homosexuals are made, not born. Homosexuality is a learned behavior -- not inherited or hormonal. One's identity is formed at an early age and then reinforced. A child is moulded primarily by its parents. As British psychologist and theologian Elizabeth Moberly wrote, A "homosexual orientation does not depend on a genetic predisposition, hormonal imbalance, or abmormal learning processes, but on difficulties in the parent-child relationship, especially in the earlier years of life." Dr. Moberly holds that "the homosexual -- whether man or woman -- has suffered from some deficit in the relationship with the parent of the same sex; and that there is a corresponding drive to make good this deficit -- through the medium of same-sex, or 'homosexual,' relations." (from Homosexuality: A New Christian Ethic, 1983; emphasis added).

Based on years of counseling experience, Carl A. Medinger, director of a group which helps reform homosexuals, describes the way this theory works in greater detail. "It seems that a little boy is created with a desire and need for a father's love, for his touch, affection, affirmation, approval, etcetera. And for any number of reasons he sometimes doesn't get it. Sometimes the father is just a distant kind of person. Other times, he's got two jobs. Other times, he's a drunkard or deserted the family.... To try to ease the pain, he (the child) detaches from the father.... the boy has a legitimate same-sex love need that has never been met.... it becomes a craving for another man sexually. The other thing that happens is that he has cut himself off from the person whom God put there to be his ROLE MODEL, to show him what it means to be a man. That wall is there and the boy doesn't take on the beginnings of a manly character and personality, the masculine traits. So he gets a little older and he doesn't know who he is.... those things that seem to be inherently masculine -- the DESIRE TO PREVAIL, to COMPETE-- isn't in him. So he feels different, inferior to other boys, and real rejection sets in. Thus, in the adult homosexual, you have a man who has an unmet love need, which has become sexualized, and who has an inadequate identity of himself as a man" (pp.8-9, Aug.31, 1987, The New American).

Yes, the causes of homosexuality are a WEAK-WILLED, emotionally DISTANT FATHER who doesn't provide a CLOSE and LOVING relationship for his son or daughter. His daughter loses respect for all men because he is so weak. Female homosexuals have often had very poor relationships with their fathers as children. When the son doesn't have a close relationship with his father,he tries to make up for it later by loving all men. Most homosexual sons both hate and fear their fathers. A warm, supportive, masculine father practically rules out homosexuality in a boy. But a detached, hostile, or indifferent father is the recipe for homosexuality.

In addition, a dominant, overprotective, overintimate, emotionally smothering mother who constantly monitors her son's behavior and stifles him, destroys his masculinity. She is so overpossessive and indulgent that her son cannot later become unattached and independent of her. He becomes a sissy and later resents all women. It is no accident that homosexuals are usually found in the arts and fashion world. A daughter develops an unnatural love for all women. Yes, "abnormal mother-son intimacy" (p.1008, Diseases) is one cause of Erectile Dysfunction or Impotence in the male. One cause of transsexualism is "early psychological defect in the mother-child bond" (p.110, Diseases). Three-quarters of the mothers of homosexual men had a "puritanical" or frigid attitude toward sex according to Bieber's Homosexuality.

Another contributing factor toward homosexual tendencies occurs later in life. When men or women are isolated from those of the opposite sex, homosexual tendencies start to develop. We see this in prisons, pirate tradition, all-male boarding schools, the military, and celibate priesthoods. It is a "doctrine of demons" to forbid Catholic priests from marrying (1 Tim.4:1-3). When men don't have access to women, they turn to SODOMY. Perhaps the community of Sodom was a company town with few women present. Yes, "RAPES do occur between persons of the same sex, especially in prisons, schools, hospitals and other institutions" (p.172, Diseases). Children of divorced parents will tend to be unbalanced simply because the one parent has to fill the shoes of the other thereby blurring the male/female differences. If one of the parents is gone, the other parent should try to find an adequate substitute such as an uncle, big brother or boyfriend in the case of a single mother.

Alternate Lifestyle Or Abomination Deserving Death?

Is homosexuality an acceptable alternative? "Dr. Paul Cameron of the Institute for Scientific Investigation of Sexuality, reports that the homosexual murder rate is 15 TIMES HIGHER than that for heterosexuals. The likelihood that a murderer is a homosexual is 12 TIMES GREATER in most mass homicides." (p.264, Biblical Principles) "FIFTY PERCENTof suicides and homicides in the large cities can be attributed to homosexuals" (p.21, Liberalism, A Rope Of Sand by Don Boys).

According to a study by the institute for the Scientific Investigation of Sexuality in Lincoln, Nebraska, homosexual men, when compared to heterosexual males, are 14 times more apt to have ever had SYPHILIS, eight times more apt to have had HEPATITIS, and three times more likely to have had GONORRHEA, GENITAL WARTS or LICE. Homosexual women were also found to have had a higher incidence of disease when compared to heterosexual women (p.7, The New American, Jan.19, 1987). Also, "With only 4% of the adult population, sodomites account for 71% of AIDS fatalities, 49% of all SYPHILIS, 51% of THROAT GONORRHEA and 53% of INTESTINAL INFECTIONS" in the United States. The average homosexual male may have more than 1,600 "partners" during his active sex life. This is one reason for the rampant growth of AIDS among homosexuals (pp.264-265, Biblical Principles). "Currently, in most urban areas of the United States, over half of the reported cases of INFECTIOUS SYPHILIS occur in homosexual men" (The AIDS and Infections of Homosexual Men, 1984).

The "incidence of AIDS and other VENEREAL DISEASES are more prevalent in states and cities where sodomy has been legalized. San Francisco (Sodom-by-the-Bay) passed "gay rights" ordinance in 1978;since then, "SEX DISEASES" have risen some 2,400%" (p.265, Biblical Principles). But "Sodomy is considered a 'crime against nature' in half the states of the United States" (p.26, Jan.19, 1987, The New American). The "incidence of both type A and type B HEPATITIDES appears to be rising among homosexuals, presumably because of oral and anal sexual contact" (p.727, Diseases). They reap what they sow. "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind" (Hos.8:7). "Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity" (Hos. 10:13)

The PURITY of BLOOD banks has been ENDANGERED by homosexual donors who have AIDS. ABC TV's 20/20 program (Dec.4, 1986) informed the public that the nation's BLOOD supply is TAINTED with AIDS. Since 1979 over 26 million blood transfusions have been administered, and it is now thought that a substantial number of those TRANSFUSIONS were CONTAMINATED. An AIDS screening system was not developed until March 1985, and it is unable to detect certain strains of the rapidly mutating AIDS virus. Most of the 6,349 Americans who got AIDS from contaminated blood as of 1992, received it from homosexuals (Amer. Journal Public Health, 1992).

"AIDS can even be spread by CASUAL CONTACT at public gatherings, etcetera. The prestigious New England Journal of Medicine cited diseased homosexual FOOD HANDLERS as a major cause of increase in amebiases and hepatitis in San Francisco and Minneapolis" (p.266, Biblical Principles). The "AIDS virus has been isolated from BLOOD, SEMEN, SERUM, SALIVA, URINE and now TEARS. If the virus exists in these fluids, the better part of wisdom dictates that we assume the possibility that it can also be transmitted by these routes. It seems reasonable, therefore, that AIDS victims should not DONATE BLOOD or blood products, should not contribute to SEMEN BANKS, should not donate tissues or organs to ORGAN BANKS, should not work as DENTAL or MEDICAL TECHNICIANS, and should probably not be employed as FOOD HANDLERS." (Dr. Richard Restack, Washington Post, Sept.8, 1985). In addition, "the AIDS virus is transmitted in BREAST MILK" from mother to child (A1, Seattle Times, Sat. April 25, 1992). AIDS victims should not breast feed their young. The "AIDS lentivirus can remain infectious outside the body for up to TEN DAYS" (p.110, The AIDS Cover-up? by Gene Antonio).

The Centers for Disease Control on November 15, 1985 and April 11, 1986 issued recommendations for preventing transmission of AIDS between dentists and patients. These recommendations, including the wearing of MASKS and GLOVES, have been adopted by the nation's dentists. Furthermore, the Washington State Dental Disciplinary Board recently passed some of the toughest new infection- control regulations in the nation. Dentists are now required to HEAT-STERILIZE dental equipment after use on each patient; use NEW GLOVES each time a different patient's mouth is touched; WEAR MASKS during most procedures except when a mask might hinder the procedure; WEAR GOGGLES when splatter is expected; USE PROTECTIVE COVERS on instrument trays, light handles and other equipment; and test sterilize equipment at least once a week to ensure it is properly sterilizing instruments. (A2, Seattle Times, Wed. June 3, 1992).In London an intruder and guest had a fist-fight at a wedding reception. Both men sustained facial injuries with PROFUSE BLEEDING. The intruder was HIV-1 positive. The guest tested positive in two weeks (Lancet 1992, p.246). Also, "SALIVA was the mode of transmission from a man with transfusion-acquired AIDS to his wife. Their relationship was, according to Dr. Jerome Groopman of Harvard, "LIMITED TO KISSING" (Lancet, Dec.22/29, 1984). The Gay Men's Health Crisis recognizes the threat of aerosol-borne infections. In its literature it advises: "Persons with AIDS who are COUGHING should cover their mouths with tissues or handkerchiefs." Dr. Walter R. Dowdle, in a pamphlet distributed by the Department of Health and Human Services, advises: "Do not share toothbrushes, razors, or other items that could be contaminated with blood." Dr. William A. Hazeltine stated that "AIDS may, in fact, be transmissible by TEARS, SALIVA, BODILY FLUIDS and MOSQUITO BITES." The percentage of AIDS cases among people who have no identifiable risk ranges from 22 percent statewide in Florida to 50 percent in the cases of Belle Glade, Florida. "BLOOD-SUCKING INSECTS, mosquitos and bedbugs) are a logical means of transfer of blood-borne agents, especially in the tropics," Dr. Mark E. Whiteside wrote in Genetic Engineering News, (Nov.-Dec. 1986). At least five, and perhaps as many as 30 patients had been infected with HIV by HEALTH CARE WORKERS as of 1992 (Annals Internal Medicine, 1992).

"CONDOMS fail from 15 to 44 percent of the time in preventing pregnancies, and yet our government wants teens to trust them to protect them from receiving a virus which is 450 times smaller than the sperm they fail to stop" -- James Dobson's open letter of Feb.13, 1992. "Safe sex" is not safe. Furthermore, researchers have found HOLES IN LATEX SURGICAL GLOVES that are big enough to allow ten AIDS viruses to pass through them side by side (Focus On The Family Newsletter, 2-13-92, p.2). In addition, the Food And Drug Administration announced that over fifty patients and health care workers have died from ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK due to exposure to latex. Latex is in hundreds of products (e.g. gloves, condoms, dental dams). The FDA spokesman noted, "It is possible to become allergic to latex from continued use" (Wall Street Journal, 2-25-92).

"About 70 percent of AIDS victims throughout the country are male HOMOSEXUALS and BISEXUALS" (p.15, The Koop Report, Oct.22, 1986). Then promiscuous HOMOSEXUALS infect intravenous DRUG USERS, hemophiliacs, blood recipients and PROSTITUTES. They in turn pass the virus on to PROMISCUOUS heterosexuals who infect their wives, who then infect their children. Meanwhile, the general public is never completely safe because of casual methods of transmission. Yes, AIDS is a DIVINE JUDGMENT from God. The fact that innocent victims also suffer and die is not due to God being unfair. Instead, it is due to a lawless society which doesn't enforce the death penalty for HOMOSEXUALITY or QUARANTINE for innocent victims who test positive. The AIDS virus is proving to be an amazingly resourceful foe, constantly changing itself to escape new medicines and the body's own defenses. No effective treatment is in sight, nor is a vaccine near.

An Abomination

The Bible teaches that homosexuals should be executed and that the innocent individuals infected should be quarantined. RIGHTS are PROPORTIONAL to RESPONSIBILITIES. The Eternal destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen.19:14-18). Lot was vexed with the FILTHY conduct of Sodom (2 Pet. 2:4-9). Jude 7 says that the Sodomites went after "strange flesh" (or "other flesh"). They are called "FILTHY dreamers" (Jude 8). The "strange flesh" refers to men having sex with other men.
Legend says Lot had at least five daughters. One was executed by the Sodomites (Jasher 19:35) and at least two others remained in Sodom married to Lot's "sons-in-law" (Gen.19:14). His last two daughters had "not known man" (Gen.19:8) and escaped the destruction. It was out of concern for the two daughters that remained in the city that Lot's wife Ado looked back according to Jasher 19:52.

Our western world today is just as sinful as Sodom and Gomorrah (Lam.4:6; Ez.16:48-56). Christ prophesied that our world today would be like Sodom was just before its destruction (Luke 17:26-33). Isaiah 1:9 and 3:9 indicate that Israel followed the sins of Sodom. Yes, in the United States "they declare their sin like Sodom; they hide it not" (Isa.3:9). Playboy magazines, X-rated videos and theaters, gay bars and gay bath-houses, television shows making fornication and adultery appear glamorous, homosexual marches down main street and "gay rights." As Leviticus 18:22-29 says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is ABOMINATION. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.... therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof ... For whosoever shall commit any of these ABOMINATIONS (not "alternate lifestyles"), even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people." Leviticus 20:13 says, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an ABOMINATION; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them" (see also Deut.23:17-18).

Our president should follow King Asa of Judah. "Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Eternal ... And he took away the SODOMITES out of the land" (1 Ki.15:11-12; 22:46). Josiah also "broke down the houses of the SODOMITES, that were by the house of the Eternal, where the women wove hangings for the grove" (2 Kings 23:7). As Job 36:13-14 says, "But the godless reap his anger. They do not even return to him when he punishes them, so they die in their prime, like MALE PROSTITUTES, worn out" (Tay; NEB). "Dr. Paul Cameron, a medical researcher, did a five-year study on the lifespan of homosexuals by studying the obituary section of a leading gay newspaper -- The Washington Blade. Cameron's conclusion was that the median age of death of homosexuals is 43, with only one percent of homosexuals living to age 65." (The McAlvaney Intelligence Advisor, April 1992). Amos 4:11 and Zechariah 3:2 both mention "FAGGOTS" or firebrands -- homosexuals -- quick-burning, hot, and long whose god is their appetite (Phil 3:19). "FAGGOT" has an ancient origin. Homosexuals were always called quick-burning sticks. When the Bible condemns the worship of Baal and Ashtoreth, it is actually condemning both PROSTITUTION and HOMOSEXUALITY. Priestesses were temple prostitutes as in the case of 1 Samuel 2:2 where "the sons of Eli LAY with the WOMEN that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation" and sodomites were male temple prostitutes. The words for "SODOMITE," "SANCTUARY" and "CONSECRATED" are almost identical in Hebrew (See Strong's #6942 to #6945) indicating that SODOMITES devoted their bodies to be used for religious PROSTITUTION. The worship of Baal and Ashtoreth consisted in the most extravagant orgies. (p.166, Halley's Bible Handbook)

Even in the New Testament we find that homosexuals should be executed. As Paul said, "God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did change (exchange) the natural use for that which is against nature; And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned (lit. "burned out") in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet (fitting)" (VENEREAL DISEASE) ... Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them" (Rom.1:26-32). "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither FORNICATORS (Strong's #4205: a male prostitute or one who sells others for sexual abuse --whoremonger), nor IDOLATERS, nor ADULTERERS (Strong's #3432: male paramours or illicit lovers), nor EFFEMINATE (Strong's #3120: soft, a catamite. A boy kept by a man who has sex with him), nor ABUSERS OF THEMSELVES WITH MANKIND (Strong's #733: A sodomite; one who defiles himself with men) ... shall inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor.6:9-10; Eph.5:5-6).

Of course, repentant HOMOSEXUALS who have changed must be allowed in the assembly if there is no danger to others. As Paul said, "such were (not are) some of you; but ye are washed" (1 Cor.6:11). All have sinned in one way or another. It's just that we are "not to keep company" with any person who "is called a brother" but CONTINUES in sin (1 Cor.5:11). Yes, "from such turn away" (2 Tim.3:5). HOMOSEXUALS "defile themselves with mankind" (1 Tim.1:10) and are "Without natural affection" for members of the opposite sex (2 Tim.3:3). "DOGS" will not be allowed in the city of New Jerusalem (Rev.22:14-15). These "DOGS" were a class of servants attached to pagan temples and used as MALE PROSTITUTES. Deuteronomy 23:17 defines a "DOG" as a SODOMITE.

Because of the fact that female homosexuals -- LESBIANS -- do not exchange body fluids readily or enter one another's bodies naturally, diseases are not transmitted as easily. Therefore, some people wonder if females deserve the death penalty. However, Paul made it clear that the law also includes LESBIANS when he said, "for even their WOMEN did change the natural use for that which is against nature ... Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are WORTHY OF DEATH, not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them" (Rom.1:26-32). The Torah often mentions "man" when it means mankind (Lev.18:22-29; 20:13). Even though scripture is directed toward men, God is not a respecter of persons (Rom.2:11; Eph.6:9). LESBIANS are just as guilty as SODOMITES.

Quarantine In The Bible

The Bible teaches that HOMOSEXUALS should be executed and the innocent victims infected should be QUARANTINED. "And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent (torn), and his head bare (bald), and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip (handkerchief), and shall cry, 'unclean, unclean.' All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell ALONE; without the camp shall his habitation be" (Lev.13:45-46). We read of four lepers who were SHUT OUTSIDE the walls of Samaria during a siege (2 Ki. 7:3). King Uzziah when stricken with the disease had to dwell in a "SEPARATE HOUSE" (also called a "lazar house") until the day of his death, and might not come into the house of the Lord (2 Chr.26:21). The lepers in the gospel accounts were treated the same way apparently. Josephus tells us that the surrounding nations made no attempt to ISOLATE their lepers, and allowed them to hold high office of state, and to visit temples (Ant.3:11:4). Our word "QUARANTINE" actually comes from the Bible. It was noticed in Italy in the fourteenth century (1350 A.D.) that Jews escaped lightly when others died in epidemics of plague, and it was rightly concluded that this might be due to their laws of uncleanness after touching dead bodies. So the Jewish code was made compulsory on the whole community, and at a later date, a period of FORTY DAYS of ISOLATION, taken from that mentioned in the law of Moses (Lev.12:1-4) became recognized as the proper time. The Italian word for forty is "QUARENTA," hence our word "QUARANTINE." Whoever buried the dead became unclean for a week, and had to live in ISOLATION outside the camp. He must undergo the usual ceremonies, which included bathing, and washing his clothes, before he could return to the community and be clean again (Num.5:3,4; 19:11-22). We now think this is unnecessarily long for most infections. If the deceased had died of smallpox, or bubonic plague, or some other contageous disease, these precautions would have been very valuable and effective. We do not observe them now, because we can distinquish between the dangerous and the harmless, but they could not, and it was therefore safer to treat all alike (The Bible And Modern Medicine, A. Rendle Short, M.D., F.R.C.S., pp.43-46). Leprosy spread over southern Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries until the principles of Moses were enacted. Black plague was also brought under control by using Leviticus 13 (Medical Science And The Bible, R. William, 1948, p.244; History Of Public Health, George Rosen, pp.63-65). As Dr. Richard Restak noted: "QUARANTINES have been very effective in beating outbreaks of scarlet fever, small pox and typhoid in this century.... Throughout history true humanitarianism has traditionally involved the compassionate but firm SEGREGATION of those afflicted with communicable disease from the well. By carrying out such a policy, diseases have been contained" (pp.37-38, The New American, Jan.19, 1987).

The U.S. Navy has been testing and EXCLUDING HIV infected recruits and REMOVING HIV infected sailors since 1986. The result has been a declining rate of those infected: from 3.6 per 1000 in the first quarter of 1986 to .5 per 1000 in the last quarter of 1989. The general population uses education and its infection rate continues upward (American Journal of Public Health, 1992).

The Woman Is Like The Moon

In Genesis 37:9-10 we read that Joseph dreamed a dream in which his father Jacob was symbolized by the sun and his mother Leah (Rachel was dead -- 35:19) was symbolized by the moon and his eleven brothers were typified by eleven of the twelve starry constellations.

This symbolism can be explained as a reference to the woman's MENSTRUAL CYCLE. The moon was originally created with a precise 28-day sidereal orbit around the earth. The time it takes the moon to orbit 360 degrees around the earth today is about 27 and 1/3 days (sidereal month). In other words, the time it takes the moon to realign with the same star.

In the same way, the Bible reveals that the synodical month used to be exactly 30 days long (cp. Gen.7:11,24 & 8:3-4; cp. Rev.11:2 & 13:5). In the time of Moses, the month was 30 days long since Numbers 20:29 and Deuteronomy 34:8 and 21:13 mention mourning "a full month" for the dead and this is defined as 30 days. This was the time it took the moon to realign with the sun. Today this month is 29 and 1/2 days.

Since the woman's MENSTRUAL CYCLE averages 28 days, any man who knew anything about astronomy prior to Hezekiah's time (when the earth changed its orbit -- Isa.38:8; 2 Ki.20:10), could have practiced the rhythm method of birth control simply by looking up at the moon and aligning it with the same star every 28 days. Thus he could avoid days 11 through 16 quite easily and not get his wife pregnant. But today this is no longer the case. The moon is slightly out of synchronization with most women now. Perhaps in the future God will re--create that lost, romantic world in which the moon was not only a clock and a light, but also a BIRTH CONTROL DEVICE. That is why it is visible at night, because that is when most sexual intercourse takes place.

When the moon is full, on the fourteenth day of the month, it seems to typify OVULATION. But the sun, just like the man, is always bright or ready to FERTILIZE the egg. The moon becomes "like blood" (Rev.6:12) and seems to typify MENSTRUATION. Men want to have sex much more than women do, Yes, "female sexual desire tends to be somewhat cyclical correlated with the menstrual calendar whereas males are

acyclical" (What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew About Women, Dobson, p.114). Yes, the man is the direct image of God (Gen.1:26). But the woman is the reflected image of God through man (1 Cor.11:7). Just as a woman loves a man after a man first loves that woman, so also it is with the church and Christ. The church assembly is the bride of Christ. "We love him, because he first loved us" (1 John 4:19). We, as the church or woman, are reflected light back at the "Sun of righteousness" (Mal.4:2). He first shined on us and then we shined back. That is why the husband must first love his wife (Eph.5:25,28). The man must initiate, just as Christ does with the church assembly. It is almost impossible for a woman to give love to the man first

Menstruation & Ovulation Represent Passover

Coming to Exodus 12, we read about BLOOD being put "on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses" where the Israelites ate the lambs on the fourteenth day of the month just after it began at evening (Ex.12:6-7). The first-born Israelite was inside.

In the same way, the woman MENSTRUATES BLOOD on the first two to five days of the month. Since MENSTRUATION is a sign that the woman is not pregnant, the BLOOD around the door was a sign to the death angel that the house was not occupied. This is the meaning of MENSTRUATION -- the woman is not pregnant so there's no need for an abortion. But this unnatural MENSTRUATION occurs on the 14th instead of the first because it pictures CHRIST'S SUBSTITUTE DEATH on Passover, Nisan 14, rather than normal human death (MENSTRUATION). This 14th day is when OVULATION takes place and the ovum is inside. So we see that MENSTRUATION symbolizes the death of Christ so that the ovum can be fertilized with life. He paid the death penalty so that the limited life span of an ovum -- less than 24 hours that it can be fertilized -- can be given human life. In the same way, humans have a limited 70-year lifespan unless they receive the Holy Spirit from God the Father. The "destroyer" of Exodus 12:23 would be the termination of the ovum before the sperm got to it.

SEX and REPRODUCTION are actually the physical type of IMMORTALITY in the spiritual realm. God lives forever. Physical men decay and grow old. In order to portray humans as LIVING FOREVER, God had to invent SEX whereby the descendants look, think and act like their ancestors. In this way, God created a physical way of portraying IMMORTALITY even though it doesn't exist in the physical realm.

God is reproducing himself. Christians are the eggs that are fertilized with the Holy Spirit of eternal life (sperm or divine life -- 2 Pet.1:4). God and Christ are in a FATHER-SON relationship (John 14:28. Jesus is the "firstborn" (by his resurrection) of many BRETHREN (Rom.8:29). Christ and his true church are engaged to be married (Eph.5:25-27; Rev.19:7). They are in a HUSBAND-WIFE relationship. Humans, created in the physical image of God, may receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38-39, the sperm, and become embryonic CHILDREN of God (Rom.8:14-17). And "if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make immortal) your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you" (Rom.8:11). Those thus begotten of God are baptised into (that is, immersed into or put into) God's church or bride (1 Cor.12:13). This is the MOTHER-CHILD relationship. The human embryo or fetus (Christian) is fed and protected inside the mother's womb. The church of God is "the MOTHER of us all" (Gal.4:26; Heb.12:22-23). The church must "FEED the flock" with spiritual food from the Bible (Matt,4:4) and PROTECT Christians from false doctrine. The church is "for the perfecting of the saints ... for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect (full grown, spiritual) man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Eph.4:12-13). Till we all come to the nine-month term PREGNANCY known as the resurrection. The begotten Christian must grow spiritually -- develop character (2 Pet.3:18) -- to be ready to be born as a spirit being -- composed of spirit -- just as a physical fetus GROWS toward physical birth as a human. At Christ's coming, he will marry his church and the begotten mortal heirs will become the "BORN AGAIN" immortal inheritors of God's household family known as the Kingdom of God. Christians will enter into the ruling government FAMILY of God. A kingdom is a government.

God is presently forming us in his SPIRITUAL IMAGE inside the church. Creation is still going on (2 Cor.5:17). God said, "Let us make man in our image" (Gen.1:27) -- both physically and spiritually. We must develop the CHARACTER of RIGHTEOUSNESS. God allows man free moral agency and the right to exercise free choice in order that man can develop SELF-DISCIPLINE. Godly CHARACTER takes a lifetime to develop. Its a matter of choosing to DO RIGHT rather than wrong even if you desire to do wrong. Choices become HABITS and HABITS become SET PATTERNS. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a HABIT" -- Aristotle. "Success is the sum of small efforts, REPEATED day in and day out" -- Robert Collier.

So we see that the MOTHER is the HOUSE in Exodus. Her VAGINA is the DOOR. MENSTRUATION is the BLOOD of the LAMB around the door. The FOURTEENTH day (OVULATION) is PASSOVER. The DESTROYER is the normal DEATH of the ovum in less than 24 hours if not impregnated by sperm.

Before we proceed further, let us notice what secular, non-religious books teach about pregnancy and childbirth. On page 55 of Conception, Birth and Contraception we find a diagram illustrating that OVULATION occurs on day fourteen of a woman's cycle. On page 57 we read that "fertilization occurs on the fourteenth day of the MENSTRUAL cycle." On page 93 we read about "a perfectly regular twenty-eight day cycle." Yes, the MENSTRUAL cycle is 28 days on the average (p.300, art. "Menstruation" Acad. Amer. Encyc.). "At midcycle, day 14, the oocyte within this follicle matures, the follicle ruptures, and OVULATION occurs with the release of the mature oocyte down the fallopian tube" (p.301, ibid.) "About midway through the MENSTRUAL CYCLE, 14 to 15 days before the next period, the ovary releases the mature egg in a process called OVULATION" (p.180, art. "menstruation," Funk & Wagnalls New Encyc.). "The human female normally has a 28-day reproductive, or MENSTRUAL CYCLE, with OVULATION usually occurring about 14 days before the onset of MENSTRUATION (p. 223, "Reproduction" Funk & Wagnalls). "The ovum is LIBERATED from the surface of the ovary around the 14th day of the cycle" (p.31, Stoppard's Pregnancy and Birth Book).

God designed WOMEN. God designed the MOON'S ORIGINAL ORBIT. God wrote the BIBLE. The fact that all three independent sources agreed with eachother originally is proof that one Master Designer produced all three.
